We arranged a surprise birthday lunch for a girlfriend here. She loves to walk Shoreline and Cliff Drives every Monday. The food is always great, and the service quick, accurate, and friendly. I’ve been trying Tuna Melts all over town. Mesa Cafe wins. The Tuna Salad is not drowning in Mayonnaise, the Rye Bread is delicious, it was heated throughout, and mostly cheese on both sides. Yummmmmy !

The food was really good here, but the service, although friendly, was extremely slow. We were there 1 hour and 45 minutes, after we were seated. And we didn’t receive our sides or request for additional water until after we had finished eating.

Mesa cafe has been a “go to” spot on the Mesa for decades. With a full bar, and patio seating it is a great option for a casual comfortable meal. They serve breakfast till 3pm and the Benedicts are all awesome. For lunch try the Turkey dip or any of the burgers.

Really bad meal. Order was taken and didn’t come as ordered. Was out of sour dough and instead of telling me that she substituted with what she wanted and then it came burnt! I ordered breakfast and they added a spoon full of hash browns and no cheese in the omelette. I ordered no onions and there were onions. I sent the whole meal back! Will never come back !

This is a local favorite and for good reason. Busy on game days due to the TVs. Busy on weekends due to games as well as delicious brunch and breakfast options. They have several variations of eggs benedict (including tri-tip, salmon, avocado, etc.) that are fantastic. Sandwiches are also good. Did I mention this place gets busy? Be prepared to wait. Indoor and outdoor seating available and there’s a full bar in case you need a mimosa or bloody Mary with your eggs.

Nice place to have breakfast and lunch. the staff is polite. inside is not beautiful, but outside is very nice, the atmosphere is calm, the summer veranda is a good place to relax. varied menu, average prices

So good! Great food and good size portions. The staff is friendly and efficient – your food comes up pretty quick, so it’s nice and hot. If something isn’t right they will fix it fast. They have a bar too; perfect for that morning wake up. They haven’t reopened their dinner service yet… hope that happens soon.

Terrible experience we waited an hour to finally get served when there was patty’s of 12 people that got seated way after and got served before us. Then when we finally got served the food was cold like it was sitting there for hours. Not once did any of the waiters or waitresses asked us once for a refill on coffee or anything.
