The location is prime and the main reason this place even gets 3 stars. It’s a fun time with easy parking, live music and a kid friendly beach. But..the food and the drinks are ludicrously overpriced. The drinks are expensive, small and under poured. The food borders on inedible. Note: parking is expensive during the day but it’s free after 4PM.

This is actually called Tiki Joe’s, it stopped being the Beach Hutt a few years back. Google, if you are reading this, please update your map. It’s a great addition to a beautiful beach. Tiki Joe’s has a restaurant, ice cream stand, beach shop, bar and live bands at night. There is plenty of seating and parking but you need to pay to park if you come before 5 pm during the summer. The only down side are the bathrooms. Only 2 stalls and one sink for the women, which is challenging for a place with a bar! Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

We Love Love Love Meschutt Beach. Our sons are 26 & 36 & we hve come here with our sons since they were young boys. This place has grown so much from a sand filled area to a cemented area with music, food,outside bar, dancing all the way to the evening hours! This is why we travel from the Bronx so relaxing. The Ocean side is fun also just be careful with the waves & water

Buy beware: the new ownership is nothing like the Beach Hut. The drinks are the same price (the ridiculous $15 for a mudslide) but there’s barely any alcohol in them and they’ve started putting them into the SMALL cups. We called them out the first time at Smith’s Point, giving them the benefit of the doubt because it was MDW and the guy seemed new. But they did it AGAIN this weekend at Cupsogue. $15 is a lot for a drink, but I paid for it because they were VERY good and had the right amount of alcohol. I will absolutely not be buying them anymore. What a shame! I can’t speak to the food because I haven’t gone there yet, and likely won’t based on the drink service.

Long overdue review! This is a really fun place on a very nice beach. They have a good selection of craft beers and mixed drinks. The food is pretty good, but served simply, which is OK for the setting. Too bad they aren´t open all year ´round.
