Delicious! Prices are great compared to other bbq joints. It was a hot sunny day, and the owners came out and gave everyone in line some free bottled water while we were waiting. Definitely worth checking out.

We got here a few minutes before it opened and there was already a line! Luckily it wasn’t too long of a wait. The people in line were fun and everyone seemed to be excited to eat. We need up getting 3 sandwiches, two roll ups and two drinks. It was under $25 which was very reasonable. The Pulled Pork sandwich was amazing and loaded with meat!! The other beef sandwiches were also as good! Their sauce is a little bit on the runny side but I enjoyed the flavor.

So my family has this group text and my brother posted a picture of some East Texas hot links, and from them on I went searching. That first week I was talking to myself- Do I need those like? Or don’t I? Well I search even harder craving got stronger. So ask Google where I can find some links. I even asked people when I went for a walk if they were born and raised in Texas to know about these East Texas hot links. I kept calling numbers from Google and nobody was in the area that was close to Garland Texas. I even posted on Facebook who would know about these links. Some people told me to go way out and boondocks 1 hour away, I am not about to do that. I know it’s an old school thing but I was wanting them. And then something told me try that guy , that guy that always had firewood on the side of their building. I grew up in Garland, born and raised in Garland Texas 41yrs. If anybody knew I was going to try Meshack’s barbecue. So I waited till he was open, and behold, he doesn’t have these links on his menu often but when I asked if you made them or where can I find them he said he did. My search was over and when I received those links before I even got in the car I had to try one. And man oh man they were the bomb . I found the place that makes them and now I know for sure I’m going to this place from now on. It brought back so many memories. And what I really like about him it has a smoky taste . Because he has a smokehouse. I made it look all fancy and pretty. 25$ for 2 dozen, I got 4 dozen because my sister wanted some. . However as long as I lived in Garland I think this is my maybe third time going to him. I don’t know why it took me so long ♀️ ♀️ ♀️. I will try the his other items also. And I will tell you about it later. But for now I think I’m going to order more East Texas links again. Thanks Mr Barbeque man.

I went to pick up lunch and was not disappointed! It’s a walk up window so don’t expect to eat there unless you sit in your car LOL. The smoke flavor was perfect. The portions were more than ample and shareable for sure. DaJasper fed us for 2 days. The links and chopped beef were delicious.

It’s hard to find a bbq spot with good sides also. This place has it all. The potato salad is AMAZING! literally the best. The beans are also good. My only suggestion is to serve onions and pickles also. You really don’t need it because the food is so good, but I’m just use to eating onions with my bbq. This place is bomb!

Thanks, Meshack’s, for catering our office luncheon. I’m thinking we won’t have any leftovers . We called ahead (the day before) so he would have plenty of food and we wouldn’t have to wait. I thought people in the parking lot were going to mob me for my food . There were about 30 people or so waiting. But, as always, it was totally worth it.

Go early! We arrived at about 11:30 and they were out of everything but pulled pork and hot links. That was just fine by me as I love the pulled pork. This is simple, delicious BBQ. Sandwiches are served on white bread that soaks up all of the deliciousness from the meat. The BBQ is just as good as the expensive places all over town without all the bells and whistles. Plan to take your food to-go. There are no tables, just a couple of benches for waiting customers. Speaking of waiting customers, plan to wait. Depending on how busy they are, an order can take 20 minutes or more but it’s worth it and part of the Meshack’s experience. Great people – Great BBQ!

Just as the sign says. Old fashioned BBQ. The beans are a meal on their own. I wasn’t blown away by the potato salad but the beans and brisket will change your life.
