A new late-night restaurant and lounge called METE, pronounced MEET, is in development at 905 Fourth Avenue in the Gaslamp. The venue space was formerly occupied by AD Nightclub which closed down a few years ago and has since sat vacant. Owner Demetrich Herder will breathe new life into the building with a new concept and brand modeled after his own character METE, which is also his nickname.

The BEST *New* Club Downtown, Hands down, 2 legit to quit! The Food by Chef Kennedy is next level, The Cocktails by Malibu Kenny Ken are a world apart from any other club around, and the music slaps like yo mama when you curse in her presence during midnight mass! You have to almost imagine METE as two different places. It’s a super club. First comes dinner. Asian inspired. And, I get that you roll your eyes a little at more of that. Actually, there isn’t much of that downtown, and, frankly, there’s just not the quality of this downtown. We tried two the inspired dishes and they didn’t disappoint, in fact they’ve got something on top rung.

Attended a corporate party. Private party for a couple of hours before they opened to the public. Nice interior with booths around a dance floor. Cool looking bar with smoke coming up from it. There was a long line to get in when I leaving
