I get the biscuits gravy and eggs special as often as possible! The gravy has plenty of real sausage chunks and is my favorite kind. Other places in town are thinner, less flavorful, and don’t have sausage like metro does. I might have to watch how much I have it though, because the portion is super generous and my belly may grow more!

This was my first time dining at Metro Deli and Cafe, I had lunch with colleagues of mine and we all got the egg salad sandwiches . We were helped by the owner Carol. I know egg salad is something very simple but the sandwiches were very good and had high quality bread and came with a side item. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem.

I just had lunch here today. Best Reuben sandwich I’ve had since I moved to Fort Myers 3 1/2 years ago. Restaurant was very clean and the employees were wonderful. I can see this being a weekly stop for lunch. I would highly recommend.

This is a little hidden gem on Metro Parkway! I discovered it after finding the beef jerky store next door. My boyfriend and I went there for lunch and we each ordered a turkey club. It was the best turkey club I’ve had in the area! Also, the coleslaw was amazing. They are more than generous with their meat on sandwiches and the inside is just the cutest. There’s a wide selection of drinks, too (which you normally don’t find at a local deli). I loved the food so much I’m having them cater my company’s holiday lunch! I will definitely be back.

There seems to be some overly sensitive people leaving reviews here. The owner isn’t rude but rather direct. We are all way too sensitive nowadays and customers at this establishment need to TOUGHEN UP or eat elsewhere. Fyi, I only order the breakfast potatoes and they are excellent. Sometimes at other places, the reakfast potatoes or hard and not soft. I can tell the potatoes were boiled first before frying or something was done to help make them soft. I was a few cents short too and she helped me out. Looking forward to trying the heart attack platter next time ( my name for it) which is fried breakfast potatoes, bacon and sausage.

This establishment has left me absolutely speechless. Truly. My fiance and I walk into Metro Deli & Cafe for a nice breakfast, Carol has the biggest heart I have ever seen. If you are missing home, or missing your parents, anything, come here. Carol has been in business for 19 years and proves it through wise words and loving actions. Thank you again for what you did for us, Carol. We will definently be back, huge tip in hand. I won’t mention what Carol did for us here, as I am afraid of people taking advantage of Carol.
