The food was good for the price. The portions are very generous. The only critique was that the food lacked seasoning, but if that was improved, this place would get 10 stars. Our service was excellent. We would definitely go back and recommend to others.

This is a great diner with hardy portions and healthy options. There was a brief wait for a table before the noon rush. The service was quick and attentive. The food came out quickly with good-sized portions and piping hot. For five people, 4 that ordered breakfast food and one who ordered lunch, the bill came to just under $90.00. I thought the prices were a fair value for the portion size. The food was super tasty. Also, the atmosphere and service were great! Erika was super attentive. She was quick to refill drinks and meet all our needs. In the photos, one breakfast was egg whites with turkey sausage, the other regular eggs with pork sausage. Something for everyone. I’ll be back!

My husband and I are new to the area and was referred here from First Coast Tire services (they’re great guys). CLEAN environment. Food was FRESH, WELL seasoned (I hate over seasoned food), prepared, & customer service top notch. Everyone friendly. Jessica, our server, greeted us with a smile & has wonderful tableside manner.

First timer, it’s soooooooo good. Server was attentive and although she had a lot of tables she didn’t miss a beat. the food was fresh and hot, delicious. I had their well/known chicken and waffles and it did not disappoint. The strawberry butter tasted like strawberry ice cream, i thought i wasn’t going to like it but it was genuinely delicious. the chicken was nice and crispy all while still holding onto the juiciness of the meat. I absolutely loved it and will be back every time i’m in St augustine.

We are in town visiting for the Christmas holiday. We stopped to eat lunch and we’re very impressed. We got sat right away even though they were busy. The waitress Margot was very good and kept the drinks filled and the food came out hot and fresh. Will definitely stop again if in the area. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I got the chicken salad on a croissant and it was made just right. My husband got the pot roast it was very tender. Very nice place to eat. Would definitely recommend.

What a busy Diner!!!!! I had a 15 minute wait to be seated. Once I was messaged thru phone, they had a table ready. Our waitress (Jessica) served us quickly and courteously. The menu is very simple and not many items. Not a bad thing. I ordered a bacon, egg, cheese croissant sandwich with hasbrowns. OMG, you couldn’t believe how good this sandwich was. Homemade cooked croissant sandwich, just what Burger King couldn’t make. Lol. The avocado toast was just as wonderful. I can see why this place is so busy and frequented by so many patrons. The atmosphere of this place is like a home away from home. I hope to return in the future.

I had the Chicken and Waffles Belgium Waffles topped with powdered sugar and sweet Strawberry Butter and served with Sweet AND Spicy Sauce. The Fried Chicken was cooked perfectly it was juicy and hot all the way through. Waffles, Sweet and Spicy Sauce all topped with Strawberry Butter was delicious lots of flavor throughout. Definitely worthy for a trip to Flavor Town.

This was our first time at Metro Diner but it won’t be our last. Just slightly past the lunch hour and we were seated immediately. Our server, Erica, was a joy. Very friendly and helpful. For the table, we had a spicy honey chicken sandwich, the regular fried chicken sandwich, and the fish and chips. All meals came quickly and all were perfect. The fries were seasoned and piping hot. The high point for me would have to be the chicken tenders in the sandwich. I’ve never had a chicken tender that practically melted in my mouth until today. Hats off to Metro Diner!
