A great Lafayette establishment that I’m surprised I haven’t rated before.

As many have found over it seems 7+ years the service is slow and inefficient and they don’t seem to care. But what’s important to note is that it is not worth the wait. There are so many restaurants to choose from why eat here? Bland, uninspired food that you’re charged more than it’s worth? Example, a fried chicken breast on apple slaw. You know what you taste? Bread. Plain bread. Move on – this is eatery is akin to an oldster buffet with big city pricing.

Love Metro! I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s even better now than before Covid. Loved Mother’s Day brunch yesterday. Price Fixe menu did not disappoint. Disregard the negative Open Table review, the per person amount was completely reasonable. My son loved his Metro Eggs Benedict, and the Avocado Toast with smoked salmon never disappoints. Roederer brut rose made the meal special. Can’t wait to come back again.

I was very disappointed when I had lunch on the 31st. The new french fries are terrible. We asked for bread and were served inedible hard rolls. What has happened to the wonderful bread?

I highly recommend Metro. Excellent fresh food that will not disappoint. In today’s visit I had the Pork Loin Schnitzel, a Chimay Triple White (on tap) and Kentucky Sugarwood cocktail. Everything was absolutely on point, with the schnitzel being perfectly pounded, breaded and with just the right amount of butter and lemon to make every bite bright and balanced. The Chimay is great off the tap with a head that stays all the way to the last drop and the Kentucky Sugarwood went down smooth but not without tasting of bourbon.

As I always say, Lamorinda is a food desert. However. Metro is my go to place when my foodies friends from out of town visit. The place has indoor, outdoor, as well as an atrium setting. I’ve tried almost everything on the rotating menu as well as all appetizers and desserts, and I love everything.

Enjoyed a rare girls’night to celebrate a friend’s birthday and enjoyed the drink, food, atmosphere and our server. Prices are high, but typical Lafayette. I had a chopped salad and it was delicious, but a bit on the small side for a salad entree. They were so kind and brought out ice cream for the birthday girl as a special surprise without being asked which was a nice surprise!
