A nice black owned and operated business that I was more than happy to support. Came for a birthday celebration where there was ample parking. Parking for guest are the spots right past the security gate. I drove around in a circle for a bit before I was flagged by friends showing me where I could park. Also, was a bit confused because it is an apartment complex with the restaurant situated at the entry level.

Ordered online and usually their food is excellent but I decided to try out the lobster bisque and when I tasted it, it was sour and spoiled! Dont know how they still allowed that to get sent out but i wonder if i would have had a different experience if i dined in? Based on some of the other reviews I guess not.

Came here about 4-5 times and the service has always been immaculate. The ambience is perfect, the vibe is great, the waitresses are friendly & accommodating, and you’ll leave feeling satisfied. It’s in the tuck & out of the way too!

We were here from Baltimore and a friend that is a Philly native recommended them. We are so glad we came. They genuinely offered above average service, and the food portion was Hungry-Man size! Our waitress Ruby was friendly and helpful and the owner was wonderful. The food was good but we did have an issue with the greens but the owner came over, talked with us, and rectified it with a smile. We rocked to the music while we ate and even talked with other customers! Everyone was warm and friendly. Thank you Metropolis for showing us Baltimorians love. ❤️ We will be Back!

I was not at all happy with my experience at Metropolis. First off, it was hard to find. There was no signage outside. I really had to search for it. I was there with a party of 11. Our conversation for the night was about how terrible the experience was. We were there for an hour before we received water, which we had to ask for. We received 1 pitcher of water for 11 people and no glasses. There was a long wait for the food, despite being told the food was already prepared. When we did receive our food, we did not have utensils or napkins. We had to ask for them, and by the time we received them, our food was no longer hot. The establishment is BYOB and despite seeing our bottles on the table, we did not receive glasses. We had to ask for those as well. 2 meals had to be sent back because the chicken was undercooked. The other meals were satisfactory with the exception of the yams which had way too much sugar. We complained several times to the owner about our poor service. He came off very arrogant. He did make an adjustment to our bill for the lack of service but he did not have the best demeanor. I’m always eager to support black owned establishments. I absolutely would not visit this establishment again.
