Mexi-Go Restaurants (Don Pepe’s Rancho) opened for business in the North Dallas area in 1990. The humble beginnings of their first restaurant sat ten patrons comfortably and was a taqueria style set up. The restaurant quickly made a name for itself in the great city of Dallas, and allowed the family to expand their restaurant to a larger building across the street, which is the present day Don Pepe’s Rancho (Dallas, TX).

Amazing food, great service and awesome communities are what have allowed this family business to compete in one of the toughest markets per capita in the entire world – the restaurant industry of the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex.

UNCOOKED FOOD. I called in and ordered some fajitas. They cost $24.00 for a serving for 1… “3 tortillas.” I asked how many for a serving of 2… “6 tortillas.” She told me a dollar extra.. I got the serving for 2 because it really doesn’t add up and I was hungry. I picked up my food, 7 team members just stared at me. As I waited, she comes out and I glance at the plate just to make sure it was the right order. I get back to work and the meat is raw. I assumed I was going to get thoroughly cooked food. You be the judge… I’m not going back.

Looked understaffed and the staff didn’t walk by enough. I’ve gone here for 10+ years and it’s a shame to see how much the prices have gone up and how the food has changed. They used to replace your chip basket even when it was half full. It didn’t get filled once while I was there today. Just hasn’t been as good as it used to be. I got the tamales as usual. The husk isn’t on it anymore and you can just tell the quality isn’t as good.

Molcajete on fire feeds two adults. Comes with a garnish plate, of course tortillas, and two charro bean bowls. Which may I add charro beans were on points, flavor wise. Myself I had a mango margarita, and adios mf. I got to try strawberry margarita, not a fan of strawberry, but this one was delicious.

Ordered fajitas and it was great! The tortillas were amazing. Unfortunately, when I asked to take a few home they gave me store bought tortillas instead of the fresh ones they make. When I bit into my left overs this morning it was such a disappointment. The tortilla was bland and stiff so I just threw it away. Either way, I’ll be back! They are great
