We came for lunch on a Saturday, and had a delicious meal. John was great and talked us through the menu. We got jerk wings, lemon pepper wings, and a jerk chicken plate with cabbage, peas and rice, and plantains. All of it was perfect. The jerk chicken was sweet and spicy, the wings were crispy, and the cabbage had a wonderful, savory flavor. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone in the area. And if you’re out of the area, it’s worth the drive. The picture added is the leftover plate after two adults ate the plate. Portions give you a GREAT bang for your buck.

I stopped by on a slow night so took my time going over the menu options. I came to try the Caribbean options so decided to order the Jamaican combo with jerk chicken, curry chicken, and brown stew, it comes with plantains, steamed cabbage, and rice with peas. The portion was huge, and everything was so well seasoned, definitely the comfort food I was looking for.

Service was fast and the food was very tasty (and plentiful). Jerk chicken had a nice kick. The rum punch was also really good, especially for the price. The owner seemed nice and was chatting with everyone. Definitely plan to go again to check out their Mexican offerings (and to get more rum punch).

Let’s start with location… In historical Lincoln Mill close to downtown. Next the food portions – huge. Enough for 2 people. The food – the place smells amazing. The salsa – fresh ingredients and chunky with a little kick. The Jerk Chicken was smoked and covered in a homemade jerk sauce with all the Jamaican spices including those scotch bonnet peppers. Nice kick! The sides – the coconut rice is light and fluffy with black beans. Another side is the Jamaican steamed cabbage sautéed but still has a little crunch and goes perfect with chicken and rice. If you’re a foodie like me, you have to try the Mexibbean Island Grill. I’m trying the tacos next. I’ll let you know…

Everything I’ve had so far is great. I was skeptical about the jerk chicken but the owner talked me into trying it today. It was amazing. This place is awesome.

I work just down the street from here and we try to make it there for lunch at least once a week. Jerk chicken is great, the queso is some of the best in town, and they have a large selection of Mexican and island drinks to pick from. Not much more you can ask for in a great restaurant. Really hope they are able to stay around a while.

This was the worst Caribbean food I’ve ever had as well as the worst experience I’ve had with a restaurant just doing an awful job in general. I ordered two Caribbean meals as well as two tacos and every single item was beyond disgusting. The brown chicken had no flavor other than too much browning and was soupy to the point of my cabbage literally just floating around my plate. I had jerk chicken as well and while it looked tasty on the outside, when I bit into it, the meat was completely raw! Undercooked, I didn’t even fully consume it had to spit it out in the parking lot! Plantain were completely dried out and hard. The meat in the tacos as well tasted like rubber and freezer burned. Just awful all around and the food is not authentic. I ended up going to another legit spot with REAL Caribbean heritage and that’s what saved my day and loss of meals for several people as well as myself. Just save yourself the hassle, truly not worth it

I was out looking for a place to eat before my climb at High Point in Lincoln Mill, and so glad I stopped by. The food was flavorful, hot, and uniquely authentic even with the blend of flavors that they offer. I pretty much said give me what you want and he brought out a plate of curry chicken, a side of steamed cabbage, rice and beans, and fries.

I found a little bit of Miami right here in Huntsville!!!! I started talking with a Jamacain accent as soon as I walked in! Right now, they are only open on Saturday, but soon open Mon-Sat 11-8pm. The jerk chicken is perfectly sauced and portioned! It is served with fresh steamed cabbage, coconut rice and peas, and fried sweet plantains!! I also got the Rum Punch, it don’t tell Ma!!

I’m very disappointed. This was the WORST and I mean the worst Caribbean spots I have ever been to. I understand being a new restaurant you want a variety of items to choose from…but you should not advertise authentic Caribbean food unless you know what you are doing. We ordered the jerk chicken the rice and peas no taste. The jerk chicken not right. The plantains looked like burnt bacon no sweetness at all. Disappointing will never return for 15.00 a meal I will spend my money where it’s worth it!!……but the tea was good.
