Gone down hill BAD. Tonight we couldn’t even get a refill. The hostess rolled her eyes and turned her back to us when we asked where our server was. Keep giving them another chance but tonight was literally the last straw. We used to tell everyone it was the best place within an hours drive. We left Ft Worth, heading to Houston, very early and looking for breakfast when we found this restaurant. We were immediately greeted and seated by the host. He took our drink order then our food order when the coffee was delivered. We were impressed by the woman making fresh, hand made tortillas! The food arrived hot and full of flavor! All the dishes were very good and hit the spot, in fact my dad got several tortillas for my mom to try they were THAT good! We are already planning our return visit when he head back this week! The price for 3 meals with drinks, and tortillas to go, was just around 20.00!

This place is horrible! I ordered the steak quesadilla and the meat taste out of date, sour, rotten. I ordered sweet tea and it was sour, then got to unsweet tea it was Sour as well so I had to get a fountain drink which I can’t stand anyway but if that was probably the best thing in this place. The manager girl was kind of rude. She did offer to see if I wanted something different so I did I got two tamales with a side of rice, even though on my quesadilla plate I had double rice, mind you the quesadilla plate was $12.99 that was with some big quesadillas and double rice, she brought me the two tamales with one little thing of rice and still charged me $12.99. If you can avoid this place all together I would. I know mexica Texas doesn’t have a lot to offer, but I definitely would NEVER GO THERE. JUST NASTY. Taco bell would be a better choice if you want mexican there in MEXIA, or drive to CORSICANA, way better selection and nicer management. So dissatisfied

I dont know why we keep giving this place a chance.. the first walk through the door almost made me turn around and leave because of the strong smell of dirty mop water. My husband ordered a tbone which was bad.. bot bad tasting like meat was bad, when we told the waitress she literary looked at us and said “I smelled that when I picked it up to bring it” like what the hell!? She still served it to us! I ordered shrimp cocktail which was a joke and tasted terrible. I didn’t even know they made shrimp that small, miniature was not even the word for it, and the “cocktail sauce” was straight water with maybe a splash of tomato juice for color.. yet tasted like oranges. My children ate chips and queso (I guess they were the smart ones out of the bunch) best part was after being comped for the 2 meals, somehow 3 sweet teas, a water and small bowl of queso came to $17.95

Awesome service, awesome food, and my youngest loves I mean loves their cheese and chips. Tortillas are great. We went on a Thursday night didn’t know it was karaoke so we at away only cause husband didn’t like all the loudness.

This restaurant deserves 10s across the board! The guy working the register at the front door greeted us immediately and was very friendly. Our waitress was upbeat and kept our drinks full. The establishment was nice and clean. Last but not least the food was outstanding! Everything we ate had very good authentic flavors and taste very good! I will definitely have to come again when I’m near by!
