It’s been my experience that fantastic Mexican food is rarely found at big restaurants. Rather, it’s often found in small hole-in-the-wall spots on a corner plaza somewhere hidden in town. Looking for real, authentic tacos? If so, Mexico City Kitchen is the place for you. Expect a modest menu selection, reasonable prices, and flavors and textures that make you smile from ear to ear and make you wish you would have ordered that extra taco.

Typical tacos probably weigh just under 1 pound each, are excellent in quality, and are inexpensive by average city prices. Good service, too.

Very authentic Mexican food with fast service even when it’s busy. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere as well! Would recommend if you’re in the area looking for good eats. For the price I was with 4 (including myself) adults, 1 kid, and it came out to around $60 range so good price.

It’s my favorite place to get a pambazo in Indy. Good tacos, gorditas, quesadillas, y tamales. You must try their agua de limon y menta. Delicious food and always have had great service. You can call your order to pick up or to eat there. It’s a smaller place, so the dine in option is very limited.

This place is gas. Huaraches is the go to if it’s your first time here. Tacos gas. Gorditas gas. Tamales gas. This top tier comfort food in Indy. You come here to enjoy the flavors. Don’t trip if the floor hasn’t been swept after a lunch/dinner rush or if your table doesn’t have napkins. Everyone there is kind and eager to help in anyway. This place can only hold 25 people so be patient, it’s worth the wait. If you visit this place with entitlement you will not enjoy it, but if you come here with respect you will leave here with a happy stomach.

Tried this place today for the first time and it has moved to the #1 spot in my book for fresh, authentic Mexican food. Small place but plenty of seating around 5p. Staff was great and food was out of this world. I had Chilaquiles and my son had Tacos. Both were beyond amazing. You’ll love this place!
