Had an amazing dinner date with my husband. First time there, definitely will be back. Just wish our waitress was a little more tentative. We are outside and she literally kept disappearing… but other then that, amazing

Skip unless you like Boyardee. The red enchilada sauce tastes just like canned Chef Bayardee tomato sauce. Our waiter seemed to not want to be there. The descriptions of what’s on the menu does not match what you’ll get. I gave it two stars because the salsa and chips were good. Just don’t.

Sat with Andres. Just as delicious and just as good service as last time. Would rate 10 stars if I could!

Had a wonderful meal at this conveniently located restaurant. Our server, Ludwin, was awesome. He was super attentive not only to us but to several other tables he was juggling at the same time. Great menu suggestions, explanation of dishes, and quick with a joke. definitely will be back and hope to see Ludwin soon!

Super duper speedy and tasty! All the servers were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my enchiladas verdes and huge non-alcoholic daiquiri, and all my friends enjoyed their wide-range of food, including seafood fajitas. I know I’ll be going back!

Great food and great service. They had some of the best service I’ve ever seen, I never had to ask for anything they were just always ready to refill my drink or bring me anything. The food was out fast, a good portion of food, and tasty. Definitely will go back.

I wish i had more pictures and i should as often as i have eaten here. the picture is of the carnitas dish which is slow cooked pork. absolutely fantastic and portion size is almost more than you can eat. my go to spot for Mexican food. Best in Fredericksburg. the 32oz modelo negro beer is like 8.99, the lunch carnitas is around 9 dollars and the dinner portion is 11.95. i have had the fajitas, chicken being the best i think, and again very generous on portion size, unlike across the street at the other Mexican restaurant which is a little skimpy. i did try the shrimp fajitas and they were ok, but i prefer El Paso when it comes to seafood dishes due to the size of the shrimp, Mexico Palace’s shrimp as not as large by comparison. service is second to none, Eduardo is the best. i have probably eaten here about 30 times, at least, and never had a bad experience, beer always cold in a frosty mug, food always good, very very consistent as far as quality. the carne asada was also good, had that a few times, but it’s mostly the carnitas that i go for since they are as good as those little hole in the wall strip mall gems you sometimes find (like taco Jalisco in Alexandria used to be) where they have amazing street tacos. Mexico Palace holds it’s own by comparison and they have the best carnitas of any Mexican restaurant that i have been to in recent memory. they are always busy, and i’m happy they are so close by to me in terms of location.

The Mexico Palace is a bigger, better version of the Mexico Restaurant. The team is the same and the menu hasn’t changed. The salsa is consistently great and the queso is the best in the area. The servers are always friendly. Food is cooked and delivered quickly. We have never had a meal delivered that was cold or obviously sitting under a heat lamp for too long.

Those one star reviews must have been on a bad day. This place is as great as ever. If you enjoyed the previous location you’ll love this one. Of course it kinda looks like Mimi’s because Mimi’s was a very specific style. I think the look fits well. The food is still great, and everyone is friendly. I had been eating at the old location for years and I will say the service is sometimes lacking, but they make sure you get your food. Try it for yourself. The pictures are of lunch specials.

Apparently this location was a Mimi’s Cafe prior to this restaurant? The ambiance inside is functional and accommodating with plenty of booth seating. The restroom was/looked well managed and there were paper towels. The service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. In all fairness, this was not peek business time. The food was tasty, served quickly and warm. A unique way our meals appeared was wrapped in aluminum foil. Not sure if that was a function of what was specifically ordered? Again the food was good and I would return to order something else hoping for consistency. Ultimately, the presentation was under whelming. My travel partner ordered a sangria and liked it very much. My draft Modelo Especial was consistently good. Overall, the rating should be in the range of 4.1-4.2 stars. Enjoy!
