I was in New Bern and looking for a Mexican Restaurant. Upon reading reviews, we decided to have lunch at this place. And tell you what the reviews proved. It is almost 3 miles from New Bern downtown. It’s really a good restaurant. It was quite busy on Sunday Afternoon. Quickly got seats. Ordered lunch Menu which was really pocket friendly. Taste was delicious, even the Salsa and Chips had a different taste. Good quantity for the price paid. Recommend this restaurant if you are a Mexican food lover.

Have not been here since it was Paula’s. The owner has done a nice job renovating and decorating. The floors had the slippery grease feel. But otherwise, place seemed clean. The manager or owner who “greeted” us lacked people skills as did person who seated us. Server was great. Slow for food to come out…was very busy. My vegetable fajitas were cooked well and tasty. But I was given only two small tortillas (one kind of dry) for a huge helping of fajitas. And then there was no place to set my filled tortilla. The two others in my family found food to be mediocre. Better Mexican elsewhere. So won’t be back.

I’ve been a regular here for over 2 years, love the food and the staff, we’ve ordered takeout from here atleast once a month, sometimes twice a month for the past year, and the food portions are getting smaller. This is how I received my birria tacos today, and my sisters tacos was the same way, barely any meat. It’s pretty disappointing to spend $60 on food for my family of 3 and still be hungry because you guys are lowering portions but not lowering prices.

First time eating here and I was not let down in the least bit! Food was amazing and the staff was attentive. The atmosphere is spot on! The portion sizes are abundant and the choice of either beans or Spanish rice is great, I always feel bad wasting one. I will he back.

Fall-off-the-bone lamb legs, and generous lunch plates keep us coming back. Their drinks are super-sized: $4 large agua de jamaica, in clay tumbler, and $10.00 micheladas are fun to drink.

I’ve been eating here for two years and the food and service seems to be declining rapidly. I have also noticed a bad odor when going inside like a backed up or dirty drainage system, not pleasant at all. It also needs a good cleaning, the tables are clean but the walls and chairs could use some extra attention.

Wasn’t at all thrilled. Walked in the door and it immediately smelled sour. The waiter was great, but the food wasn’t good at all. The prices seemed a little high to begin with, but I don’t mind paying more for quality. This definitely wasn’t the case. We won’t be going back.

Horrible sewage smell. Food tasted poor and had a “refrigerator taste”. Only ate a small portion of food. Owner said food was made day before and wasn’t reducing price. So basically they do not care if you are a satisfied customer. To pay $14 for a bite of food? I would’ve gladly accepted ANY edible replacement. I will not go back.

The food was delicious it came on time they set us down we waited maybe 2 minutes before the raches came over and asked us for something to drink even she was the only waitress she was working lovely always came back and checked on us who came out delicious even the sampler we had was good this is a most definitely five star restaurant I love it One of my favorite Mexican restaurants ever so much food I couldn’t finish it
