Mi Chola is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. Whoever decorated the inside did an outstanding job. We had to kill about 45 minutes, so we stopped in for a drink and chips/salsa. While we didn’t have a full meal, we were very impressed with the restaurant, the service, and the overall vibe of the place.

The food was very average tasting. I got the street tacos and you get two small tacos with some bland beans and rice for $25. It was pretty expensive for what you get. The service was terrible. It took a while to get an order in. When our food was delivered the waiter never came to check on us or refill our drinks. We had to flag him down to pay. The atmosphere and decor were really unique. The patio and indoor/outdoor seating was nice.

Pretty average Mexican food. The portion size of the tacos were quite comical for $25 but they tasted alright and thankfully had the nachos as an appetizer before which filled us up prior. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and it was nice. Overall, okay for Mexican food but price wise not aligned with what you are getting.

Popular spot serving great Mexican food in a nicely decorated space. A bit expensive but so is everything in Aspen. Came here around 5pm. They do NOT offer a happy hour (contrary to what some of the other reviews here claim). Ordered cocktails which were good, and a veggie burrito and quesadilla, both which were very tasty. Staff was very efficient but not friendly, service was quick but we felt a bit rushed to order and then wrap up.

The atmosphere is great! You can dine in or out. The outside has ceiling heaters which really made the late evening dining experience so enjoyable. The food came out very quick too.

A good idea for lunch. This restaurant’s environment is probably its most striking trait for me. The food was good but not overly great. I don’t usually talk about prices, but this was too expensive for its quality and taste. The food was well made, but again, nothing special. We only had one opportunity to try Mexican in Aspen, so I’m not sure if there are any other good options for this cuisine. The bar was well stocked, and passing by at night, we said this restaurant was full. The service was ok; not too much of a personality, but that’s ok when the timing is good and the ordering is as well. Overall, it’s a clean restaurant with ok food. I would recommend a night out while drinking.

First of all, the server was great. She seemed to have the whole restaurant and did a great job being attentive.

Our group of (20+) friends has been coming to this restaurant for a few years and have enjoyed it and found it to be a relatively good value in the past. This year was a challenging experience – we had two large tables of 10 – 12 people at each and ordered the Prix Fixe family style menu for $50 per person (food was good). Each person ordered their own drinks (some had more expensive margaritas and some just had beers or non-alcoholic drinks). After dinner, we had to wait at least 45 minutes to get a check, and then the waiter announced to each table that he would only take one credit card for each table. And he would NOT split the checks between the two tables even! Instead, he added the entire bill for both tables including all the drinks, and split it in half and gave each table one bill and would only take one card. This caused our group a lot of hassle as one table ordered considerably fewer drinks. It took a couple of days amongst our friends to sort out how to split up the reimbursements. Honestly, the fact that it took that long to get a check and they refused to split the checks makes zero sense. It certainly didn’t save the restaurant any time by not agreeing to split the checks. There are so many apps available now (like Toast) that allow waiters to easily split checks (even among large tables) that it seems inefficient for the restaurant and certainly non-customer friendly to REFUSE to split checks for large tables.

Had a great experience, our first stop on our first visit to Aspen. If everyone is as nice as the staff was here it surely speaks well for this beautiful town. Our waiter Riley was great. We tried a few of the usual things, tacos, enchiladas, tamales — all delish. Also loved the salsa, just the right spicy
