This little restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in south metro Denver. The food is authentic Mexican, the service is quick and the prices are so reasonable. Any time in the area I always stop in for lunch! In and out quick without a big dent to the wallet.

I stopped in Mi Cocina Express today for two breakfast burritos. The place is very cute and clean. The gentleman that greeted me was very nice, and I believe on another occasion I came in, he was going from working at this restaurant all morning to their other one for the evening (extremely hard working family restaurant from what I saw). The burritos were delicious. But it’s what the guy did that really made my day, and I think it shows great character. He was not aware that today was a really bad day for me, but he just threw in extra burritos for me for no reason. He had said he threw “a few extra” in, but I thought he was referring to sides of green chili or something. He threw in extra burritos! I literally needed to feed my whole family so his act of kindness really helped. And it was that kindness that really turned my whole day around as well. I want to thank him and let him know, that as a lifelong restaurant worker myself, I value businesses that work hard, provide amazing food and have excellent staff and owners. Thank you for providing that in such rough times. I’ll be back

Customer service was fantastic! From ordering over the phone to when I picked up the gentleman that helped me was friendly, personable, and very helpful. I ordered several breakfast burritos for work and everyone loved them. They especially loved how much meat was in them. I ordered the regular size, not the $4 special of the day) and they were a good size and were very filling. We will definitely be back!

Mi Cochina Express is ok and has room for improvement. Small compact menu which is good. I ordered a #14 combination with beef taco, beef enchilada and beef burrito and the Chile fries for a starter. There isn’t any seasoning to the ground beef, could add more but not so much that it over powers the green Chile. The hot green Chile is standard, nothing amazing and it’s smothered on the burrito but it’s really runny like water and ran off the burrito, and even as it cooled it still didn’t thicken that much. The red enchilada sauce lacked in flavor and was runny compared to a place like Tamale Kitchen and other places. The taco was good, but didn’t come with salsa or sauce in the side so I had to use salsa that came with the chips. The green Chile fries were ok l, fries were cooked good but it could have better had the green Chile NOT been so runny and ran off the fries. All that no soda for for $31 (with tip). Service was good.

Great spot! Very friendly people, clean and tidy – they clearly care about this place. Salsa and green chile, both made on site, are top notch. I had the huevos con chorizo for breakfast and it was DELICIOUS.

Good breakfast burritos for a good price. If only they had true NM Hatch green Chile! CO DOES not do Chile well, or spicy enough…

Dealt with very brusquely. I paid then the guy reached behind him and pulled a ready made burrito out of a warmer. Was told “to-go only” Not surprised, thin, limp, lame, no meat burrito. Complete rip off even for $4 avoid!
