This place opened to on 5/3/23. Was anxious to try it since I had tried all kinds of buffets, but never Mexican. I have to say I was very impressed. Made from scratch food. Smaller pans to keep things fresh. Chili rellenos, refried beans, corn tortillas, barbacoa, green and red chili, and so much more. This place was amazing and heaven if you like Mexican food. Authentic, tasty, and same pricing as you would expect at a buffet on a Friday night.

The owner is an awesome guy. The service is good. A Mexican buffet is novel and needed in Grand Junction. But the prices are high. Especially considering that rice, beans, corn products and tortillas are literally amongst the cheapest foods out there. The asada does not seem to be a true skirt steak cut and anything bought from a local carneceria would be superior. The tamales are good and most of the other dishes are good as well. I want this family to have success with this restaurant, but I’m not going to pay almost $50 for two people to make that happen for them. Sorry.

Food seemed like it had been left out for a while. It was all dry. Chile rellenos were nothing but oil. Not many choices to chose from. Horchata was really bad.

We came in a bit late but still during open hours, however they were out of stuff because of a big party they had just had there. The gentleman running the place was very nice to us and apologetic. He even let us still come in FREE to try whatever we would like that was available. He could have easily sent us away or charged us less then normal but he went over and beyond to make our experience great. As for the food. It was AMAZING. I wish I could have tried everything but even the few things we got to try were sooo delicious. We will be coming back 100% to try everything. I highly recommend this place. Very good food and SUPER nice people.

VERY GOOD FOOD! I went with my girlfriend and me and her loved it here. The price is not bad, I’ve seen reviews where they say it’s too “expensive”. Honestly 21.99 for dinner isn’t bad. Plus taking to mind that they make the food from scratch. I will most definitely be coming back. I recommend.

We went in and was not impressed. Rice taste like it was cooked in fish water. Not much left and lots of kids running around touching everything. Wasn’t a lot to choose from. Was expecting tacos and maybe enchiladas but none to be found. Had fajita’s and no tortillas. Wasn’t pleasant. $46 for 2. That’s a lot for what they had to choose from.

Very good food and good prices we eat out a lot and I believe it was pretty reasonable for all you can eat. For 2 people it was $40. I don’t no where you can have stake or shrimp for that. Or Mexican food last place we had Mexican food was $80 for 2

First of all, a Mexican Buffet is unusual. Second of all is the food is tremendous. Where else can you have a meal that one might have in a little Mexican home? The selection is great and the food is fantastic and authentic. Where else can you get anything from churros to menudo, tamales, enchiladas, refried beans, Mexican rice and on and on. There is a great salad and dessert bar to top your meal off. Mi Jacalito translates to “My little home” and that’s the feeling one has when eating here. Service is great, staff is very friendly. Definitely a repeat for my wife and I.
