I picked “Mi Pequeno Mexico” as a restaurant for a date night. I loved the atmosphere; it made me feel comfortable. We were seated as soon as we arrived, and the staff was okay. Our food wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t amazing. I previously read a review complaining about the service fee; I have the same sentiment and am upset at myself for paying it. We thought the service fee was a gratuity charge. But we were still asked to tip after turning in the initial bill. We paid $70 for two people for something average at best. We are never returning, but for those still thinking of going. Listen to the reviews about their prices, and only go if you don’t have more important things to spend money on.

Nice small restaurant with typical Mexican food. Prices adjusted. They don’t serve alcoholic drinks but the juices are very good. Nice service. The only real bad thing is that it’s written on the menu that a service charge of 18% will be added to the bill for parties above 5 people and I was only one and they included the 18% on my bill. The tip should be decided by each customer and not enforced on the bill by the restaurant. That’s not correct. Although I’m not small I’m not a party of 5 either.

I can’t even say how good or bad the food was because I never got a chance to eat it because of roaches crawling up and down the wall. The service was quick and the waiter understood me when I said I’m not paying for the food. But you can’t erase the fact that big roaches were crawling not only on the wall they are crawling while your food is on the table near my pocketbook and jacket. 010

Beans and rice well seasoned. I ordered the fried snapper and it came with tortilla and rice and beans. I order a side of sour cream. It was really good. Large meaty fish. Only inexpensive fried snapper in the area.

Service was great, the lady was super attentive and friendly, she made sure to explain the dishes and the specials they had for the day, she also made suggestions as to what we might enjoy the most. The food was delicious, the tortilla was corn tortilla instead of the flour ones and the flavor of the meats were spot on. I’ve been here just a few times and the last time was the best one. I’m definitely coming back here after.

I ordered birria tacos, al pastor tacos, and a champurrado. Birria tacos were so good, very creamy, and the sauce had a good consistency. The al pastor tacos were okay. The champurrado was tasty. The chips and the salsa they give in the beginning were so good!
