Came for lunch by myself after hearing the food was good, I’m from out of town. The orzo was absolutely incredible and the Salmon was cooked perfectly. I didn’t need to add any additional salt or pepper. My waitress was incredibly kind and attentive! Highly recommend this place.

Great happy hour. Went before our show at Starlight Theater and it was a great location for that. Wednesday was “Burger Night” and I had sliders, which came with choice of 1 side. I opted for sweet potato fries, and everything was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The homemade salsa had a smoky goodness. Will return!

Amazing soup and salad day for my wife and I to stop in and have lunch here. The Greek salad dressing is the top dressing in town for a salad. Service was amazing the server stopped and talked with us and brought us over chips. Great experience.

Last night was the beginning of Kansas City Restaurant Week 2023 and my wife, mother-in-law and I started @michaelforbeskc in BrookMichael Forbes – Kansas Cityervations for 8 pm and the restaurant was lively and very loud. Our waitress was Courtney and she was like a butterfly, as she would flutter back and in the middle of asking us if we needed anything, she would be gone. She informed us that she was going to the bathroom and would be back in two minutes…which was more like 8 minutes and TMI.

So I walk into my usual Thursday food spot & instead of going straight to the back to my table I go to the restroom up front first. When I finished & walked to my table and.. Jake already had my first drink set! I’m said “wow, really?” Now grant you that I come on Thursdays so my regular bartender Mallory wasn’t here but between these two I never place an order because they remember my order. Talk about PERFECT customer service!

The food is barely ok, most of the staff are running around drunk or gossiping in corners, the bartender Jake was racist toward me after I paid and tipped, he actually kept serving intoxicated ppl in front of me that he said are regular ‘privileged customers (all white at the time I looked around) and he called me rude for calling him a racist and told me to leave. As I was outside the establishment waiting on my ride, I witness one of Jake’s “regular customer Mary hit a car, then go back to be served more alcohol by Jake. Save your time and money and go somewhere pleasant like the Plaza.

We loved everything about Michael Forbes. This was our first time visiting this establishment, and it was not a disappointment. We had reservations for 6 pm and were seated promptly. Our server, Kye, approached our table immediately and took our drink order and explained today’s special. It seemed that he was the only server on the floor but didn’t skip a beat. Our food was excellent, the service was great and we loved the atmosphere. Thank you, Kye, for making our first visit a memorable one. We are definitely adding Michael Forbes as one of our favorite spots.

Worked in the industry close to a decade and have never been inclined to write a bad review but holy hell, do not spend your money here. I gave my waitress a 30% tip but the service was awful. We got wings as an app and they were absurdly dry. Me and my partner got a sandwich and fries, the fries were soggy and greasy, burgers had no flavor whatsoever. My partners sandwich had marinara smeared on the side of it, despite it not coming with marinara. Our waitress tried to lie to us about what came on the item, despite the menu description.
