I ordered dinner through Grubhub. This was the fasted delivery I’ve ever had, 30 minutes before the estimated time in the app. Pretty average food, not bad – not amazing. I suspect the delivery driver works for the restaurant, he was very friendly and gave great service. I will most likely order from this restaurant again. Oh, and the portions are big enough for some leftovers.

Called to place an order at 7:22pm today, they close 8. We gave him the address which is literally 10 minutes away (not even) and he insisted we live in west Philly and they don’t deliver there. Wouldn’t let us even get a word in to tell him we aren’t AT ALL in west Philly. Kept talking over us.Then as we’re trying to explain this he hangs up on us. What a horrible first impression and we will be sure to tell all we know not to order here. They completely turned away good business for no good reason whatsoever.

The takeout was quick and very good, and it was easy to order online to pick up. The location is small – this is solely a takeout place, so don’t go here expecting to eat inside. I was a little disappointed in prices for what I received, but I was very spoiled living in Fairmount with the Chinese restaurants there. The prices here are a little more expensive, for less food (no soups in their combo platters). I was very surprised that their chicken rice did not also include vegetables, as that seems fairly standard at most places, and also surprised that all of their combo platters come with pork fried rice instead of vegetable. In general though, the food was good.

While we usually have an ok experience here, tonight was terrible. They couldn’t give us an expected arrival time and were dismissive and rude on the phone. After nearly an hour after it arrived. Not a good night for Michael’s.
