Exceptional dinner during our stay in Stowe. Tucked away up on the hill. This locations view is worth the visit in itself.

We had a solid time at Michael’s on the Hill after a busy Friday exploring the area. All of our dishes ranged from good to great, although I will say the menu was fairly straightforward. The drink options were similarly above average, however not particularly exciting. We definitely had a fun dinner, although I think Michael’s could do with a refresh of their options to mix in new elements and stand out from the many other very similar restaurants I’ve tried across the country.

If you are looking for a pleasant, quick upscale dinner in Stowe then Michael’s on the Hill would be your best bet. Located about 10 minutes outside of Stowe and situated in a manor home on top of a hill overlooking Route 100, Michael’s has both excellent food and service. The menu is certainly more meat focused (pork, beef, chicken, venison) but has several seafood options as well. You can choose from several appetizer and main options or opt for a tasting menu (see photos for selections).

The food was amazing, we both had the summer corn soup and Faroe island salmon. The staff were great. All & all a great experience.

I have never written a review for a restaurant before now, but our experience tonight was very disappointing.

This Switzerland trained, Chef (Michael Kloeti) owned restaurant is definitely among the best restaurants in all of New England, not just Vermont! We will be taking the 4 hour drive again for this dining experience!

Great place for a lovely meal- steak was cooked to perfection, all items were incredibly fresh and the team was very nice and professional. Will definitely be back. Our family tried the steak and lobster.

Wonderful restaurant in Waterbury/Stowe. Great place to celebrate a special occasion, or enjoy a terrific dinner. We each enjoyed a seasonal tasting menu, excellent! The wines were also perfect for each course. Service was friendly and spot-on. Looking forward to our next visit to Michael’s.

We had dinner here on Sunday- and it was fantastic. While in the past we’ve been lucky enough to get a table on the enclosed porch this time we were seated in the Barn Room. It was lively with children and happy families enjoying their time together.
