This restaurant was absolutely delicious. This was my families first time coming to Carolina Beach so we were researching where to eat and the bad reviews on here almost turned me away – DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE REVIEWS! This was easily some of the best seafood we have EVER had. Service was very fast and our server was very nice with the questions we had. Our appetizer, spinach and artichoke dip, was to die for, and the main meal was indescribably good. The $54 seafood boil was worth every penny. We also got the swordfish tacos and they were spectacular!

Our service was excellent! Wendy crushed it with our group of 9. Service was prompt and friendly and our food was delicious. The seafood chowder was a hit with our group and the bacon wrapped scallops were gone in seconds. Highly recommend this spot!

Our waiter was superb! He showed my 10-year-old daughter how to crack open her king crab legs. (He did 95% of it) He explained how he’s the only one that does this for his customers. He cares that the children, even some adults, learn. This way, they enjoy the experience even more. His suggestions were on point The food was prepared amazingly We sat outside under the enclosed area, flies all manage to get in, no biggie. Just ask for the fly fans, they help.

I have lived in Wilmington all my life and this was my first time at Michael’s. The hype is there for a reason. The food is wonderful and flavorful, the staff is very kind and friendly, and the restaurant is roomy and very cute. An absolutely perfect beach spot. Not too fancy, but not too causal so you feel very comfortable after a day at the beach. Also, the clam chowder was phenomenal! Best I’ve ever had, and I have had a LOT of clam chowder! Definitely give this place a try. I WILL be going back!

A group of us (13) went to Michael’s after a long day at Kure Beach. We all got different things. Everyone was completely happy with their meals and the service. I had simple grilled salmon and a double order of lemon butter green beans w/ garlic. I would do this again tomorrow if it weren’t 2.5 hours from home. It was a fantastic way to end our trip.

Now hear me and hear me good….I am seriously considering asking Shelly (owner) to adopt me. Mind you I am 50 yrs young and my mother is an amaaaazing woman. But my mother doesn’t make chowder, shrimp n grits, or corn bread LIKE THIS!!!! The clam chowder is the heartiest I’ve EVER HAD! & I’ve had ALOT of clam chowder (mostly N.E. not a fan of Manhattan). Now…the shrimp n grits: Gladys Knights Shrimp & Grits is now my SECOND FAVORITE!! I think what they did is maybe fry the grits into a cake. I don’t know. I just know I passed out it was so good!!!! The staff is top shelf…our server, Dillon….this kid is AWESOMETASTIC!!!! If Shelly isn’t willing to adopt me, I will be back very soon!! I’m 2.5 hours away but the Mrs. & I are willing to make this trip for this food at least once a month!!

The food was really delicious and our server Zack was very attentive and well informed about the menu. We had the Penne Rachelle with shrimp, mahi mahi sliders, spinach & artichoke dip as well as blackened yellowfin tuna with Mac and cheese. Would definitely eat there again.

This is a beautiful restaurant offering authentic, fresh, seafood dishes. They offer daily food and drink specials. I had the low country tortellini and my husband had the Flatbread. For an appetizer, we had the sampler; it was amazing. I also had the white house Sangria. Everything we had was delicious. Service was great. Our food arrived quickly. Definitely going back!
