Very disappointed! My first and last time in this place. It was bright and clean and friendly. The order board was big and readable. I ordered a cheeseburger combo for my 7 y/o granddaughter which they asked if I wanted a jr burger for her? In my mind all jr burgers are small so I told her no a regular burger was fine. I ordered a jumbo pulled pork bbq sandwich combo for me. After ordering it was time to pay, I was offered to add a tip, it took me by surprised and made me mad too. A tip is for good service performed by a waiter or waitress. Not a person taking an order to go. I get home with the food and look at the portions of my jumbo bbq to her regular burger (look at the picture cheeseburger on left my jumbo bbq on right). Combo comes with 2 sides and a drink. We both choose fries which were small thin fries that where hot leaving but cooled very quickly. Beans were good and she liked her Mac n cheese. The bbq sandwich was dry (not the meat) and lacked a lot of flavor I did order mild but mild don’t mean flavorless just not spicy. The only bbq flavor was from the small amount of sauce put on the bun. I ordered slaw to add to the bbq but it just wasn’t the kind of slaw I like. The prices in comparison to other bbq places here local are about 2 dollars more per burger/bbq. I paid extra for the slaw and no deduction for not getting a drink.

Food here is always good. Service is a little slow, but that’s because of the amount of customers that they have here during lunch. Always a stop whenever I’m in Covington.

Small town, locally owned bbq is always the best. Friendly service, homey atmosphere, excellent pulled pork.

I wouldn’t go to this place if I was hungry and they were passing out free food. Its 87 degrees outside and a lady was asked to take her crying child outside and wait on her order.
