The service was so friendly! The staff welcomed us and thanked us for coming in. We ordered the Caliente Burger and the Chicken Sandwich. Our food was fresh and served in big portions! They didn’t put sauce on the Chicken Sandwich which allows you to dress it up as you like. I asked for ranch dressing and put some on the chicken sandwich and it was good! The fries were especially amazing.

Update (June 2, 2023), Went back for a 3rd and still the consistent. $11 for cheeseburger with fries. Back in SD for a few days and returned to Midway for a second time. 5-Stars for consistent burger, fries and attentive service. For $11, (with cheese), with crunchy fries, it’s hard to beat. There is In N Out, but the it’s a smaller burger, inconsistent service and long crazy lines.

Had a awesome time at this classic malt shop! Reviews were a little unbelievable so we decided to give it a try. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the nicest man. We figured by his customer service he must be the owner, but we found out everyone there treats you that well. We ordered the True Blue Burger with fries, Chili cheese dog, chocolate malt and Coke. Everything was made to order. The burger was cooked medium-rare as ordered and they got it right, the Blue cheese and bacon were an excellent touch. The shake was so thick we had to give it a moment by itself and the house-made ranch was a great companion to the hand-cut fries. The Chili cheese dog was hiding in a foil tent and when I saw all the Chili and cheese that went on that 1/4 lb dog I was quite happy. Most places put a taste of their Chili and touch of cheese, Midway gives you a serving of each. Everything was clean and there was plenty of seating inside and out. I can’t stress enough how nice everyone we talked to was, they genuinely like their customers.

The bacon cheeseburger and fries are great. Mozzarella sticks were really good. Hot fudge sundae was too big for me. Next time I’m order a kid one. Still, it was really good, and my daughter got a cookie and cream milk shake she says it is really good.

As soon as I walked in, I could practically smell the nostalgic aroma of malt wafting through the air. It was like stepping into a 1950s soda fountain, but with a modern twist!
