A little about our restaurant… Our founder, Miguel Herrera, started in 1970 in the restaurant called El Burrito’s in Mariani’s Shopping Center in downtown Stockton. In 1977, Miguel moved to its present location and renamed it Miguel’s. His son, Michael took over the restaurant in 1990 and has continued to the present day!
We take pride in serving authentic Mexican food with fresh ingredients and homemade tortillas. We hope you’ll come by soon to try our most popular dishes: Chimichangas, Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Enchiladas…and more!

I order chilirolenos, the picture telling all. Sad looking small size pepper. No crispiness of the batter, likely has been cooked long time and just get reheated. The veggies dressing was loaded with sugar. mushed bean, bland similar way with salsa, just throw in the food processor.

Very good food and very consistent. Love the salad before the meal. Great Chicana, huevos rancheros, enchiladas. Chips and salsa good too!

The service was good and the place has a cool vibe and the bar was packed and looks ikes like a fun time. However, the food leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered take out for 7 people and it was incredibly bland.. rice is flavorless and beans we’re the same. I added my own salt to make it at least edible. The carne asada I ordered was supposed to come with onions and peppers but my meal didn’t come with it .. just the asada steak that, again, had pretty much no flavor. This is my only experience eating there so maybe the cook was new or they ran out of salt and seasonings. In any case, being that Stockton has a huge variety of legit Mexican food I’m not exactly sure I would choose this place over one of the several other really good authentic Mexican spots. I don’t like giving bad reviews so I still gave them 2 stars and more stars for service and everything else. Food just was not good at all in my opinion. Left me very dissatisfied, unfortunately

Yummy beans and rice! I did have a chicken quesadilla with chicken enchilada special and I cleaned my plate. The gravy was delicious. I ordered a Pina colada and the drink was classic. There were some fans watching a football game in the bar and the energy was great. The bartender was so kind and all the staff were great! There is a banquet type seating area which I didn’t try tonight but for a nice dinner out with a girlfriend, it’s comfort food that hits the spot.

This burrito.. It was like… it was like someone poured canned beef stew into a tortilla. The way it was wrapped was akin to a hastily wrapped dirty diaper—it couldn’t be picked up without all the goop shooting out of it like a firehose. I’m gonna go listen to some sad music now while I reminisce about better times for my tastebuds.

Slow, servers, but food great. Servers are nice, but don’t expect much. Been in 3 times and 3 different servers. Appetizers brought with meal, once food dropped they disappear. Have had to asl for bill and even then had to ask for payment collection.
