Not a sit down restaurant style but they have GREAT tacos! We did the 2 for $5, chicken, al pastor and carnitas. Chicken and Al Pastor were the best. Tacos came out fast and they had 3 kids of salsa. Would go back again!

Great little spot in Capitola for some traditional Mexican food. My online order was very quick and easy, the wait time was only 15 minutes until my order was ready. The Asada and Al Pastor street tacos were very satisfying, small but full of flavor. This was definitely a great stop and would absolutely come back to visit. One thing to note, parking can be a little challenging to find. Street parking is limited and there is a parking lot right next door although you do have to pay.

Had been waiting for so long to try this place, and we were not disappointed! The Baja fish tacos are especially amazing — al pastor tacos and carnitas “regular” burrito were also hits. Can’t wait to go back and try other things from the menu!

FRESH & DELICIOUS!! My wife & I were visiting Capitola for the first time & dreaming of an affordable, delicious meal to enjoy during what was shaping up to be a gorgeous beach sunset. We found Mijo’s on Google & saw the excellent reviews. It was perfect! Just a few steps away from the beach and the decor was very pleasant. As we stepped up to order takeout, the chef was excited to serve us and gave some helpful suggestions. I got the shrimp burrito & my wife got 2/5 tacos. We also had some fresh-made chips, salsa and fresh-made guacamole. Oh, and their salsa options are incredible! If you’re in Capitola & was some delicious Mexican takeout, we highly recommend Mijo’s Taqueria!

Our new “go to” place when I’m Capitola. In October of 2022, I saw a kid eating a delicious smelling street taco by the beach strand. His family pointed us to Mijo’s. After trying their street tacos, I was hooked. We went back June 2023 and ordered their asada and pollo street tacos, and were delighted. We added chips & guacamole because we heard it was great, and it did not disappoint. It’s affordable and delicious. Great salsa too! We will continue to go there.

My husband and I love Mijos so much we picked them to cater our wedding! My partner is gluten free and vegetarian, the staff is always so understanding of his food allergies and preferences. They are not a gluten free facility but he has never had a problem eatting here. Their Tinga is my go to meat choice! Their prices are so affordable, I highly recommend their burritos!

The best salsas! They even have two versions of the viral orange hot sauce from La Victoria Taqueria over the hill in SJ! (They don’t mention La Vic’s…I recognized the salsas and asked…and that is my opinion that two versions of their salsas are like La Vic’s orange sauce…you gotta try ‘‘em all (including La Vic’s) to decide for up yourself which is best! But anyway this place is delicious, fresh, clean and reasonably priced! Almost all the restaurants in the village are not reasonably priced. This place is! And it’s delicious! So glad I finally tried this. Oh and another great place with 6 fresh salsas is Salsa’s Taco bar in live oak! They have a HUGE menu so it is another delicious, frssh, amazing Mexican place in SC! Please support all these fine dining establishments! Your taste buds will thank you! Although there is no restroom, there is a large adequate restroom a one or two minute walk down in esplanade park by the stage and beach!
