Nice little spot in the Mission. Decent food and a good selection of organic wine. The menu changes from week to week I believe. Wasn’t crazy about the pork. Wish they had options for the main, like either a meat dish or a fish dish. You prepay when you reserve but there are optional dishes you can order to share for extra. Preferred sitting by the bar instead of the table as you can watch the chefs plate your food.

Amazing food, beautiful decor, great service. We went to Mijoté for my wife’s birthday. I made reservations about two weeks in advance, mind that you gave to pay for the 4 course pre-fixed menu ahead of time when you make the reservation. We had the halibut tartar, seared scallop, octopus with smoked yogurt ($28 addition for the table that we shared three ways, lamb with arrowhead cabbage, and a fantastic dessert of peaches with ice cream? The flavors were very well balanced and everything was delicious. I haven’t had French food often but I see why the culinary world is so crazy about it. The balance of each flavor is incredible as is the way each flavor compliments each other. I would not hesitate to go again.

My recent visit to this restaurant offered a unique twist with a four course menu. Few dishes the chef personally served and I am not sure if it was planned. While the concept was intriguing, it didn’t translate well in execution. Unfortunately, the presence of flies around the dining area and the lingering smell of scallops from the kitchen were significant distractions. These elements overshadowed the culinary experience and made it challenging to fully appreciate the meal. Despite the chef’s efforts, the issues with hygiene and ambiance need to be addressed to enhance the overall dining experience.

We went in a 5pm for a nice dinner and mijote did not disappoint. The menu consist of 4 courses with additional course available to purchase. It was definitely a wonderful food experience with creative dishes. Maybe it’s the theme but expect to see root vegetable in the majority of the dishes. Our main course was chicken, which pairs great with the jus but would’ve been much better had we had some sort of red meat as our main. We also opted for an extra octopus to share and it added the boost this dinner needed to be exquisite. Finally the dessert – although we didn’t see how parsley and ice cream could go together, it was still excellent and have me wanting more. Overall for the price of $82 per person ( with the extra 1/2 octopus + fees + taxes + 18% mandatory gratuity) our total comes to ~$135 a person. However it was 100% worth it.

Mijoté is incredible. From the food to the service to the ambience, everything is top notch! We got the 4-course tasting menu (the only thing they offer), and added on the beef tartare as an add-on. All dishes were sooo tasty, juicy, delicious. I’m usually not a dessert person but theirs was so good!

The food was delicious. Unique and perfectly cooked. Beautiful space. Staff was incredibly kind and accommodating with a dietary curve ball in our party. There are extra courses available for a supplemental charge but we were all very satisfied with the standard 4-course prix fixe (good portions). Look forward to coming back.

always great food and the wine selection is ahead of the curve. i love this place for its rotating menu of french bistro fare made with the freshest seasonal ingredients. it’s a lovely marriage of france and the bay area. really no other place like it. it’s a convivial place so the vibe is always buzzy without the pretense. if the pâté en croûte is offered as an add on, get it!

Such a fun place to dine out. Quaint corner location, small and cozy dining room, 4 course set dinner with supplements at really good quality of product and value, solid cooking, and natural wine.
