This was phenomenal! Hubby and I came here for date night and we are still questioning why we have never been here before! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with amazing service. When the waiter found out it was our first time, he was very helpful and made suggestions for each of our tastes. My husband ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi, and I got the volcano sushi roll. We also got the dumplings for an appetizer and chocolate fried ice cream for dessert. The food was excellent! My husband’s steak and shrimp was very tender and juicy! And I was able to customize my sushi roll to exactly what I wanted! To top it off, the price after everything was excellent! The bathrooms were also very clean and spacious (which is a pet peeve of mine). We will definitely be returning!

The sushi was delicious. I barely got a picture in before eating everything. I ordered the okie dokie roll, it’s cooked sushi with shrimp only. We didn’t like the shrimp fried rice. My husband ordered the shrimp teriyaki and he said it was okay.

This is my go to spot for sushi. Right at the front door you’re greeted with smiles and a welcome. The servers are so nice and attentive. After traveling all over I was surprised to find a sushi restaurant on par with those in larger cities. Even better in some cases. I love eating here. It’s an experience and food all should have.

We came in for lunch after my kids finished camp at Beauregard. We were seated immediately. Our waiter was a little overwhelmed as it seemed like there were only 4 waitstaff for the entire restaurant. Our food arrived decently fast, however my sushi that was supposed to be flash fried was just warm. It tasted good, I just wish it had been hot. My son got a crabstick sushi and inhaled it so fast he immediately ordered a spicy tuna roll. We also got fried rice and noodles for the table to share. They were good as well. Service for refills was slow which is disappointing. At the end you are served a complimentary raspberry cake that was delicious. Not sure if we would go back again as there seems to be another similar restaurant less than a mile away.

It’s where we go to get an ‘okay’ Japanese meal. The meals come out quickly and hot. Yet the overhead music (top 40) was louder than what felt normal and somewhat unbecoming an oriental place, and the waitstaff’s attention to detail felt lacking; two requests for service items were forgotten about and needed reminding. Regardless, the food is very tasty and the prices were about what we expected, not more.

Sushi is still amazing, but they have suffered the fate of inflation. Rolls no longer come with soup, so be prepared to shell out another 2.50 if you want that delicious osumashi or miso soup. Amazing food, good prices, but the music is a little loud. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

Pretty great Calamari and Sushi for being in the middle of Louisiana. Probably one of the best calamari’s I’ve had in a long time, fresh and fried well but not greasy. I got the Manhattan roll, flavor was awesome and was well balanced with texture. As well the staff was hustling the entire time, great service. The one thing I would pass on is the ginger salad, really no flavor just bagged lettuce with the standard ginger sauce on top. Overall great dinner, definitely will bring my co-workers next time we are in town.
