A little expensive and very busy with wait almost 2 hrs. The food was great but no noodles included with hibachi only rice and although quantity was good it was more expensive than some of the other hibachi places nearby. The hibachi show was also a bit lackluster. Not as many tricks specially since we had a party of kids excited for a lot more than just volcano. It’s not a bad place and food was good but between the price, wait and show I would honestly go somewhere first. Otherwise it’s a solid choice for hibachi and Japanese steakhouse.

You don’t come here and expect a quality steak or seafood. It’s all about the show which sometimes is good and sometimes not. The steak is low quality. Something you can buy at Winn Dixie on the sale section. That’s the reason they give you all the sauces,to cover up the taste. Same for the shrimp which is most likely cheap farm raised getting ready to expire on sale. Go there for the kids enjoy the show. You want a premium meal, go somewhere else.

Soup was cold , yum yum sauce tasted like straight mayo, shrimp in 3 of our rolls ( party of 7) was so tough 2 of us didn’t eat the roll. It tasted like it had been cooked hours before. We had asked for 2 checks and it was put all on one. We arrived at 830 2 had hibachi ( not at a cook table 5 had sushi . The person who was served last was served 35 min after the first person got their food. At 948(they close at 930) we were asked to pay the check and the server asked for her gratuity.

We had the best experience our server and the 18 year old cook were awesome. We have never experienced such good service as we did tonight and their was 14 of us. They were both attentive to our needs and helped tremendously with our 3 year old. We had the best Anniversary and it was our daughter in laws 20th birthday it was a night to remember thank you Mikados so much!!

This is a great spot to stop and have good hibachi! We loved our server who aided in the great check war of our family. I’ve never seen shrimp come as an appetizer automatically and while I don’t enjoy shrimp I think that is a great extra. The water we got was pretty gross so that wasn’t great and the 10$ glass of wine which was about 3-4 ounces was a bit over priced could have been better. Over all it was a good experience.

We have been in search for a decent Japanese Steak House since we moved to St Augustine. We’ve tried others in and around the surrounding areas. All were disappointing, so we were a little apprehensive about Mikato. I have to admit we were presently surprised to find it acceptable. While It wasn’t the best we ever visited. It was clean, had a presentable apprarance, friendly and engaging staff.

We love this restaurant. The entire family goes for birthdays, mothers day and more. Best entertainment, great food, great atmosphere, awesome staff. We have been here 4 to 5 times a year since 2015 and everytime is has been perfect.
