Is 7:00 too late for dinner? Upon arrival, rather than “welcome”, we heard from a hostess not interested in seeing us -“we are only serving pizza for the rest of the night…are you sure you want a table?”

Award winning restaurant for a reason. Very good staff. Located in the best area with open parking around. Easy access to the restaurant from HWY 20.

Pizza is really good, but spaghetti and lasagna were just okay. Place could use updating as it has about 10 different light fixtures and looks straight out of the 80’s. Had a good crowd so it must be popular.

Update – 8/30/22: We got our food to go this time. Once again… DELICIOUS!!! We love Mike and Angelo’s. Eating in the restaurant is the best… but decided to eat at home tonight. My wife and I split a pepperoni and sausage pizza… an order of lasagna… and an antipasto salad. Mmmm! As always… I would highly recommend eating at Mike and Angelo’s!

So it would be 5 stars for the service, the atmosphere, and the staff. They were all very nice and very good at making things good for us. The taken away star is because the food on the me u is very hit or miss. We got onion rings and eggplant strips for appetizers. Onion rings were fire but the the eggplant was really bland. We got salads with the meals and they were great. The lettuce was VERY crisp, the tomatoes were firm and juicy, and the dressing was full of flavor and texture. The bread with the meal was also great. The lasagna was also amazing. The fettuccine was very bland and the chicken it came with had sort of an old grease flavor and was over salted.

Moved here from Chicago and searching for a really good pizza place. Heard good reviews so we finally came to check it out. The restaurant was pretty busy considering it was 5:30 on a weeknight and it was raining. Our waiter Thomas was awesome. He was absolutely amazing especially since he was very busy and had a lot of tables. We started off with the fried mushroom, super good and nice portion. The marinara sauce that came with it was super bland. The French onion soup was the best I had, very flavorful. We order the same pizza from all the pizza places we go to so we can do a fair comparison: sausage, onions and garlic. They don’t have fresh garlic which Thomas already warned us. They used the same marinara from the fried mushrooms in the pizza so once again it was bland. We had to drown the pizza with crushed red pepper flakes and parmesan to give it some flavor. The ingredients were a bit scarce. We barely were able to taste the onions and garlic. We finished the meal with a pice of tiramisu which was fabulous (wished it was a bigger slice). Prices were good for what we ordered.

Good pizza but they get the orders wrong a lot. When it’s right it’s amazing, but that’s like 50% of the time.

The staff here was great. Looks like they enjoy working here. Another Fish Fry review but Cod was not an option. Walleye or perch were the options. The food was great the service was great. I would come here now not just for the pizza.

Pizza and raviolis were good, service not so much. Table was sticky, booth panels were spotted and dirty, there was food and beverage splatter on the wall. If the public area is unclean, makes me wonder about the kitchen.
