Mike’s Tavern is a great place to eat. I’ve eaten there several times and haven’t found anything on the menu that I didn’t like. They have great cocktails and food. I’ve had their loaded mac and cheese, the Tavern Burger, Fish and chips, grilled salmon with parmesan mashed potatoes, the ribeye, and the caprese chicken. For appetizers I’ve had the southwest egg rolls, crab cakes, and the Mike’s Tavern dip. There is a bar inside, tables and booths, and an outdoor eating area. I’ve seen large groups and couples there. It’s an all around great place to go for any occasion. You won’t be dissatified.

exceptional experience, got sat quickly at peak hours on Sunday for brunch, our waitress was a delight and very attentive. I had the crab cake Benedict as well as my buddy, the eggs were poached to perfection. I will say if you’re not big on spices and order the chicken and waffles, request the regular syrup! Other than that, everything was superb! 10/10 brunch experience in this hidden hixson gem

First off Cassandra served my group. She is very personable and friendly. Did a great job! I had the special, chicken fried with macaroni and cheese, and asparagus. Nice portion and presentation. Recommend this spot near Chickamauga Lock and Dam.

Try the Blackened Mahi sandwich! Got mine with a side of grilled asparagus, which was also really good. Four of us were there for a business lunch around 11:30am and we got a table right away. I didn’t catch our servers name, but she was excellent.

We had a party of 4 adults and 2 kids. All the adults ordered the fish and chips. They were amazing. Ask for some of their mustard ( it comes with the kids corn dogs) to mix in with the coleslaw. They also serve Malt Vin with their fish, and they had a side of remoulade sauce for some kick (not to spicy). One of my kids got the Mac and cheese with wild rice. I forgot to take a picture but we also ordered the fried pickles! Highly recommended if your pregnant!

We got the tavern shrimp appetizer and it was great, filling enough to be an entrée honestly…so good i almost didn’t get a picture before it was gone! I got the philly with onion rings and it was good too! The kids got mac-n-chz which was easy mac basically but for $6 i guess it was ok (they didn’t complain lol). My husband ordered the brisket nachos and we were a little disappointed with the fact that the brisket was tiny cubes rather than pulled or shredded and there wasn’t very many pieces either. We also shared the brownie for dessert (not pictured bc it was devoured) and it was super rich, soft, warm and yummy yum yum! Our server was nice but i did notice that another one of her tables ran her like crazy, which in turn took her from being more attentive to us. Overall we enjoyed it and will be back i am sure! We also learned that it is owned by the same “mike” that owns the hole in the wall near our house in red bank that we frequent and the smokehouse near st elmo that we also love! I guess it’s safe to say we are mike fans

Mikes get a 5 from me because their doesn’t taste like every other restaurant. The fish and chip plate was really good but I expected bigger pieces. The egg rolls were different yet tasty. I’m ready to return to try more.

This place really surprised us with its quality and friendliness. We live very close but went a long time before trying it out and now get it to-go frequently. The food is always hot and fresh and the employees are so kind. Always one of my favorite places to recommend when we have family come into town!

Local residents, and second time here. When we walked in we were greeted, and asked for a both. The young man said something about being understaffed, and something else I couldnt understand. The dining room was half empty, with several boths available. I again asked for a booth “please”, and he then seated us at one. The server seemed rushed when he took our order, and when my wifes food came out…the order was wrong, and had to be sent back. My dish of Brisket Nachos were below average in quality, with the chips being somewhat stale. The crab cake appetizer was tasty, but were only slightly warm. Maybe we just hit it on a bad day! Probably won’t be a third time!

The food was so good that we went two days in a row. The food taste even better the day after. I would definitely put that as one of my regular go-to spots locally. Thumbs up to the shrimp and grits and the shrimp mac-n-cheese.
