Great restaurant. I can’t give the food five stars. It was good but I find it impossible to separate the price from the taste experience. Everything was well prepared and tasted fine but there was nothing that hit a grand slam in a restaurant that charges grand slam prices. Would I go back? Yes, I would. It’s and excellent restaurant with great atmosphere and the service as superb as it gets. Rory was Fabulous. On a one to five scale he got a ten. He handled a group of seven, with a really raucous crowd like a pro. But the food should be more than good at a place, like this and it was good. It just wasn’t memorable. Should you go? It’ll cost you, but yes.

The restaurant has a nice ambience. The sommelier recommended a very good Sauvignon Blanc from Russian River that’s light and dry. It went very well with our starters: lobster bisque, escargot and Caesar salad. For main course, two had sea bass and one had salmon, all excellent. It’s a high-end restaurant and expect to pay top dollars but it’s well worth it.

Lovely Father’s Day Brunch. Beautiful ambience. Nice service. Highlights of our meal were the amazing Deviled Eggs & Profiteroles.

I recently dined at Mille Fleurs. It is a cute restaurant on a charming street in Rancho Santa Fe. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to dine inside. They have an extensive wine list. I enjoyed a glass of Grand Cru champagne. As a starter, my friend and I ordered the deviled eggs. They were really good. A fresh radish on top was a nice touch. For our main course, we ordered the lobster risotto and steak frites. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of lobster in the risotto. It was the best steak frites that I’ve had in San Diego. For dessert, we chose the crème brûlée trilogy. It was delicious! Our favorite was the banana crème brûlée. I almost forgot to mention their amazing freshly baked cake on a baguette and their homemade butter. It was so good that I had to stop myself from eating all of it so that I could enjoy the rest of the food that I ordered without being too full.

Used to be fantastic. Has gone so downhill will never return. Service non-existent. Took 1 hour to get drinks, an hour to order food. An hour to receive food. Lobster salad, a favorite, was wilted, 2 bits of lobster, mango unripe. The weinersnitzel, a chef’s special, was overcooked, and tough. The side pitato gratin was lukewarm. 2 of us had to return our dishes because order was wrong. Sourdough baguette was ordered and never arrived. Overall an unforgettable horrible night out. So sad. Used to be wonderful

Delicious food and excellent service. The restaurant is very big with lots of different areas including some outdoor seating. There is a bar that had some live piano playing when we were there on a Saturday. Wide range of French influenced food and very good wine list. The sommelier is very knowledgeable and entertaining. Had a great night…would definitely go back.

I ignored the bad reviews and visited anyway. Cocktails are good. Lobster bisque tasted like dish water. A rice cake has more flavor than the halibut did. Waiter was indifferent. Very disappointed on my birthday. Beware the changing $50 per person cancellation charge. It starts off as a ‘no show fee’ then becomes a cancellation charge. No parking. I’m disappointed with exec chef Brandon Jennings. We walked out and ate elsewhere in Solana Beach an hour later. I never look at reviews, esp at a Bertrand Hug establishment. my mistake. never again

Great experience for an upscale dinner. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about food and wine. Even the chef came to the table and engaged into friendly conversation – actively looking for feedback to learn and to improve.
