We were blessed to stumble across the Pig Pit in Cohoes and decided to make it our home. Besides the restaurant, we still offer to pick up catering, drop-off catering, on-site catering, corporate catering both drop off or on-site, and BBQ fundraisers to help raise money for fire departments, schools, sporting events, Churches, charities, and any organization in need of raising money, at Millers Backyard BBQ we strive for perfection and customer satisfaction, all of our rubs and sauces are homemade, and all of our sides are homemade. I finally got around to trying these guys out & I was not disappointed!! I got the Brisket Cheese steak & man it was delicious!! I got the onions as my side & they were nice & crispy, with a nice dipping sauce for them!! The service was on point & my food came out very fast & oven hot!! I’ll definitely be returning to try some of their other menu items!!

For months I hesitated despite living nearby coming here since they opened but I will be back. I ordered the 1/2 cheddar sausage which comes with two sides and cornbread and something the worker recommended and called garlic crack of garlic cheese curds. The cheese curds if you can’t guess are like mozzarella sticks but with garlic and added spices. They literally lived up to his hype and were so good. The cheddar sausage was perfect, my sides were Mac and cheese that was okay but wasn’t as cheesy or creamy as I thought it would be. The bbq baked beans were my other side and were a shock, they had pieces of apple in them that brought balance for me to the beans. However the most shocking part of my meal was the delicious cornbread, I have no clue how they did it but most cornbread’s at restaurants I had are thick and beyond dry. This cornbread was light, airy and was almost like a cake in texture.

Great brisket, tender and gently seasoned. Fries were super good, crisp outside, and a very tasty seasoning, needed no sauce or anything to enjoy them. Pictured is the brisket reuben I ate.

We went for dinner. 4 meat platter of brisket, pork spare ribs, 1/4 white meat chicken and pulled pork. This includes 3 sides. We chose baked macaroni and cheese, beans and coleslaw. 2 small pieces of cornbread are included.

We’re very excited to have such a great new BBQ place close to home!! Awesome brisket and ribs and the pork and turkey were also really good. The turkey was juicy and tender compared to a lot of places. Enjoyed the mac and cheese and cornbread as well. We can’t wait to go back to try more!

Happy to have a good BBQ spot so close to home. The brisket was phenomenal, and the sauce was a good balance of smokey sweet. Both my kids loved their meals too, which is always the most critical set of judges in the house. Will certainly be going back again soon.

We chose Miller’s to cater my daughter’s wedding for over 100 people. I’m so very glad that we did! We ordered wings, brisket, pulled pork and chicken. EVERYTHING was perfect! Everyone raved about it and asked where we ordered from. John and his staff were a pleasure to work with and wanted to make sure all was perfect for her special day. I highly recommend them. Saw a new restaurant in the old Pig Pit building (R.I.P.). Decided to give it a run and was not disappointed. The brisket was awesome. Not dry at all, and a great crust. Cornbread was soft and moist. Mac and cheese was rich and delicious. Smoked wings were very good, but the sleeper hit? The dang chicken nuggets! They were next level. You aren’t going to go wrong here.
