I’m not an expert on Detroit-style pizza, but a friend who has lived elsewhere in Michigan recommended this place as having top-tier Detroit-style pizza and amazing ice cream. I came here with my Mom, who was in town to visit. Since we wanted a pizza on a Friday, we ordered ahead to pick our pizza up at 6:45. It was ready promptly when we arrived and it was some of the best pizza I’ve had in the US. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, with old-fashioned wooden booths, a tin roof, and adorable signage. We couldn’t resist trying a couple of the fancy sodas, too, which were delicious. To top it all off, we tried both ice cream flavors (blueberry and cardamom) and they were fantastic. I loved and would try both again, but the blueberry in particular was so flavorful I wished I could take some home. I will be coming back here regularly!

My absolute favorite spot in Hancock! Their food is inventive, delicious and helps support other local businesses. I love their approach to food that is seasonal, fresh, locally sourced, and creatively pushes the edge of what Detroit style pizza can be. The specialize in Detroit style pizza: square, thick focaccia like crust, crispy cheesy edges, and great toppings. Each week they add a new special and I’m always intrigued to see what kind of funky things they come up with. I haven’t had a bad one yet and they have had some genuinely surprising toppings like peaches on their pizzas! My go to is the Ginger Baker: a pizza with pepperoni, honey, and Calabrian chilis. A perfect sweet spicy combo!

These folks are wonderful! I went in because I was trying to finish a writing project and needed internet still after the library had closed. I wasn’t quite finished when Milly’s was scheduled to close, but the super-friendly staff let me sit at a table and finish up while they were cleaning up. We didn’t have any pizza (though it smelled like really good pizza). But we did have their soft-serve ice cream, and it was delicious and worth a trip to Milly’s in its own right.

My Meatball sub was good. Toasted bun which was a nice touch. The drink glass was tiny. Im saying maybe 5 ounces. No artificial sweetener for the tea. The salad came in a square bowl that was the size of a thimble. The vinaigrette dressing was very good though. Meal was good but the portions were stingy. They asked for a tip when I ordered. Could do better I think.

Delicious deep dish style rectangular pizza with crispy cheese on the edge. Staff was extremely friendly and they had a good selection of sodas.

We went twice but the first time they ran out of pizza so we had to get something different but I got a salad and it was good and they have very good drinks and I would definitely recommend the orange cream soda. The next day we went they had pizza and trust me it was so good so definitely worth it
