The host was very polite and attentive. The food was delicious. The mild tomatoe sauce was my favorite, its very flavorful. The green and yellow spicy sauces are good too. I got a barbacoa plate and it was well portioned for the price.

The barbacoa is flavorless. The tamales are also flavorless, the dough needs to have some spices or something. The worst part is that they added a $.51 cent up charge for using a credit card.

Had a Barbacoa taco today. It was the most meat filled taco I’ve ever had; they are VERY generous with their portion size. The single taco also cost $4.47 after tax.

Tried this place for the very 1st time ordered a carne gisada taco. It was really good. Need to try some other items on the menu next time. Be ready to pay more if you have a credit card or debit as a form of payment.

I was stuck for an hour in the neighborhood and was looking for someplace to eat, and Mimi’s popped up on my maps app as the closest restaurant. I found the proprietor to be exceedingly friendly and helpful. He allowed me to choose any of the weekly specials instead of insisting I have the one designated for that day of the week. So I chose the puffy chicken tacos. They were delicious, crispy, and juicy. They had just the right texture, and the mild salsa I’d chosen was an excellent condiment. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other dishes.

The Tortillas were flat and very tough; heb sells better Tortillas on the shelf. it was 8.37 on my debit for two tacos and one salsa cup ($0.89per salsa/not included with order). the charge was about $0.50 extra than the price i signed on my receipt. I also didnt like that they swiped my debit at a terminal that is several feet away behind the counter where i could not see & didnt require a pin. the portion in the taco was hefty to make up for its bland flavor. The place didnt seem very clean. There are many places that taste way better, with better service for same price or cheaper honestly. Northwestside is always a miss for real Mexican. Go north central, inner west, south/southwest for real food. i do not recommend this place.

I went to this place to eat for the first time. Service was amazing, everyone was very friendly. It was a busy morning for them but food came out really fast and those were the best and fullest tacos I ever had. DELICIOUS. I will definitely going back to try different things. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One little table for two. It’s been a very busy morning but they are super fast and pleasant. From entire families to elderly to single customers, all get treated hospitably. Great food & guys! We tried menudo and breakfast tacos.

Went by on a Sunday 1045am n there was a line but went by quickly. There was some soft juicy n fully cooked lengua- n the regular barbacoa was just as delicious. Saw lots of regulars, as the owners greeted them by name. Certainly my go too when I’m craving my back home Sunday breakfasts with the Family.
