I had the shredded beef (tender and juicy) yellow rice with veggies and fried sweet plantains.

This place was incredible! Everything I had was SOOOO good!! I highly suggest stopping by this hidden gem.. for authentic Cuban food! Probably cheaper than the McDonald’s across the street too! Win win

Pros: Convenient location, unique flavors and recipes, only local Cuban restaurant, family owned and from Cuba, diverse selection of dishes, drive through/takeout/dine in available, friendly service, opened recently, good prices for such cultural food, open 6am-6pm, offers Cuban coffee, menu includes rare desserts, lunches, and dinner that you won’t find anywhere else. Recommend coming here for the unique desserts.

Fresh yummy food. The Cuban was very good. The coffee was delish, perfectly creamy and sweetened. Guava and cheese is a mix of sweet and savory mild flavor of tropical kinda citrus flavor. My tummy is full and happy 🙂 thanks mimis

Probably the best Cuban sandwich I’m going to find north of Cuba/Florida. First time here and I was impressed, very well done.

I had the Cubano. Delicious.. I got it to go, they cut the sandwich in half (easy to eat while driving). The marinated shredded pork blended perfectly with every other aspect of the sandwich. I’m looking forward to visiting again to try other menu items. It was a heavy sandwich, enough for two if you wanted.

Everything I have tried was delicious. Big Boy cuban sandwich is delicious. Fried plantains with the garlic sauce is my favorite. Best Mango smoothie I’ve ever had. Homemade excellent food.

My favorite McDonald’s in the USA is on Dort Hwy in Flint, Michigan. There is never a wait, food is how it looks in the pictures, and staff are friendly and helpful. Every time I drive out of there, though, I notice Mimis Cuban Cafe across the street. FINALY made a visit yesterday. The bread is fresh-baked every day. Got a fresh loaf, five minutes out of the oven. The linda chavala cubana at the counter was glad to walk this first-timer through all the options. I brought the luck… After me, and other first-time customer, then another couple from Miami, dancing salsa while their order was fulfilled. Croquetas… divinas. Pork sandwich with onion, limon and mojo criollo, perfect. Pastries, excellent, and the coffee the real, real. They have MANY full-meal options that come with a protein, a starch (or four) and sides. As a half-Mexican dude, I’m used to flavors being more assertive with lots of condiments, but this Cuban place does everything well with more subtle flavors. FLINT, Let’s get together and support this business just like we do La Familia for Mexican on Garland downtown, Any place that calls me baby, nene, querido or mi amor is a place I know will have great food and great service and great hot sauce. HIT THEM UP!

I’ve haven’t been to Cuba yet, but I need to go because this food and the atmosphere and staff were great. They have daily specials and authentic cooking. The pork ribs were delicious and with the yellow rice and plantains is was a great sized meal for the price.

Came in to try it out for the first time, and the staff were friendly as could be, helping us figure out what we wanted. I ordered the Big Boy, their traditional Cuban sandwich and I was blown away with the size and quality. Extremely authentic, packed with flavor, and you could tell attention was paid to each ingredient in the process. They bake bread and deserts there that you may also order, as well as an array of traditional sodas and other beverages not found in our average grocery store in the states. I will certainly be a returning customer.
