I having dim sum with my friends at Ming’s restaurant located in Quincy today,the manager named May she’s very unfriendly! And I was disappointed with one of the meals, and the dim sum started to look unappetizing because it was fried very dry, very dry, and you could tell that the outside had been fried many times, and I told her that I wasn’t satisfied with the meal, and we never touched it, and she told us that it wasn’t their problem. The problems of our guests. I said I wanted to return it, she said she could dump it for us, but we still need to pay for it! Do you think she e did the right thing? Is that how you treat your guests? We won’t be back !

Probably the best dim sum in the Boston area, and certainly worth the trip to Quincy. The place is large, and packed, and has dozens and dozens of items, plus a cute delivery robot for take-out orders. The look fun wasn’t great, and the chicken feet were kind of average, but almost everything else was great. Lots of cute items like coconut pudding bunnies, mango pudding ducks, and minion-shaped custard buns.

Just like you’re any other dim sum place EXCEPT they’re an order as you go vs selecting out of the traditional push around carts. I prefer this because I don’t have to track down my favorite plates. But beware you are more than likely ordering more food than you need lol!

I like coming to Ming Seafood Restaurant because it’s clean, big and if you ever have to wait for a table (like for weekend dim sum), it’s not a very long wait. The food is decent and they have a few specialty dishes that set them a bit apart. They can accommodate large parties too and have a semi private area off to the side that you can reserve. A few complaints – they will not split the bill and will only accept one (1) credit card per party; they only have designated staff for only taking orders, or only serving dishes, or only clearing dishes. If you need to request for anything, you have to flag the correct staff person; and finally, if you are dining family style, then they will bring ALL the dishes out at once instead of slowly bringing out dish by dish so half the dishes are cold by the time you are ready to eat it.

I took my American friends to Ming for some Dim Sum. I am from Chinese originally, food was great, not 100% freshly made, that’s why I gave 4 stars, but it’s decent. Atmosphere was great, I feel I am in China when I go there. So my fiends all loved food, but the service was so lacking. Some service people were just rude and many of them don’t speak English well. I guess they were just so busy and didn’t have time to help us. I would still recommend this place because it is authentic, but it would be better to come to Ming with Chinese people.
