We were going to go to a chain sandwich shop but stopped here when we saw the nice outside dining area. This was the best sub sandwich I’ve ever eaten! Such great friendly service too.

I ordered food for my employee and I. I specifically asked for two of the 7 in sub which is $11 each. I also asked for banana peppers on mine. They gave us a full order which is $10 extra per sandwich. Total came out to $50 when my employee picked it up. I also did not get the banana peppers on my sandwich. I went in and asked for some money back as that was not what I ordered. The new owner was nice but argued with me the whole time and she claimed that she took the order. I wasn’t impressed with how she handled the situation nor tried to have us pay more for something we did not order.

The Guilty Conscience is every bit as delicious as I remember from visiting Park Rapids every summer as a kid! I really enjoyed bringing my own children here this week to experience the old fashioned sundaes. No other ice cream parlor I’ve visited has ever been quite the same as the Minnesoda Fountain.

HORRIBLE service. Stood at the counter for nearly 20 minutes just to order the food while the cashier sat on his phone, waited nearly an hour for two sandwiches just to be told they didn’t have one of the main ingredients (meat). Asked for an update on our order, was ignored. People who came in after us got their food before us.

Our waitress was Paige, horrible customer service. She asked us “what do you want” in a horrible tone. I witnessed snarky remarks to young kids who were simply excited to get some ice cream, walk past the sign that said wait to be seated. This same waitress pointed to the sign and said, “can you read the sign, it says wait to be seated” in the same rude tone. Of course those kids should have noticed the sign, but it wasn’t necessary to be so rude. The ice cream was great, but as a former waitress, I’m always sad to see how customer service is no longer an expectation held high at places such as the Minnesoda Fountain for young servers.

Cute little soda fountain. Food was good. Ice cream was mediocre considering we were under the impression that was kind of their specialty. We had a very sweet waitress. The staff was mostly young and maybe not fully trained yet. Overall we had a great experience until the end when an older woman employee added a gratuity to our check and then proceeded to yell at our nice waitress right in front of us for not adding in the tip. There were 6 of us by the way, unless they were counting babies. Ruined it for us.

Great sandwiches!! The ice cream is also really good, with lots of flavor options. The sandwiches are really twice the size of a normal sandwich, which make the prices pretty competitive.
