Just picked up my order of extra well done wings with extra wing rub!! They are fantastic a must try, best wings in the area!! Can’t wait to get them again. Super awesome staff. Thank you.

There’s just no smokiness to any of the food. The meat is tasty for the most part but genuinely no smoke flavor as if it were just baked or grilled over gas. Visited many times and tried most of the menu and unfortunately no difference.

Pulled Pork sandwich was not too smoky. Prepared dry and add sauce of your choice at table. Hush puppies were tasty w honey butter on the side. Local draft beer. Service was fine. A little pricey for portion size. $40 with tip.

Good food. A bit pricey. Lost 1 star because they made me wait 40 minutes extra for my online pick up (food was supposed to be ready by 5, didn’t actually give me my food till 5:40)

The ribs are good, the brisket is the star, but I like the turkey when they have it. People note that the service is slow but it’s actually the kitchen and the timing of the meat, so don’t blame the wait staff who are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is bigger and Ttey’ve got a nice bar, so I usually order ahead for take out—sometimes it’s over an hour to wait—then show up early and have a beer while I wait and last time I ate my dinner on the grass hill out back overlooking the highway. The sides aren’t super (cole slaw, Cajun corn) so I say get extra meat and have a salad tomorrow.

The food is always fresh and tasty, but the service isn’t always that great. Young kids work there, and they haven’t developed that sense that people have been sitting with empty baskets since the appetizers and cups need to be refilled. But the food is worth dealing with it.

Food was ok, pulled chicken is chopped and although it wasn’t bad being a texture person I wouldn’t have ordered the pulled chicken knowing this. Service was friendly but being the only ones there it took a bit long to have drinks poured as they were distracted with each other.

Very basic and casual eatery. We ordered burgers that took forever to be served and the medium-well burger was dripping red juice. The meat tasted off, neither one of us finished. We would have been better off going to McDonalds and would have saved a lot of money.

Friendly atmosphere with excellent food. The corn bread was sweet and moist and wonderful. The brisket: tender, lean and flavorful. The meat loaf gravy contained large fresh mushroom chunks. We were disappointed by the service speed: we waited a long time for our food to arrive and to receive the bill. The desserts looked good, but we didn’t get a chance to try them.

I’ve stopped by Minuteman a few times over the years due to its super convenient location – if you’re hiking in the Basking Ridge or Jockey Hollow area, this isn’t far out of the way at all and is just a minute or two off 287. I came by to pick up some sustenance this past Sunday afternoon after a gloomy, muddy hike at Lord Stirling Park a few minutes down the road. Their weekend hours are as convenient as the location – they open at noon (honestly, when is the last time you had a 10AM BBQ hankering?) and close at 8PM, perfect for a post-hike meal.
