AMAZING! The flavors were perfect. The menu has all the deliciousness. The staff was super friendly. I love the little touch with dumplings when you walk in and fresh baked cookies when you are leaving. You will not be disappointed coming here. I honestly feel this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city.

This visit was a recommendation that ended up one of the best meals EVER! Each item that came out was better than the last! All flavors were phenomenal! The service was something special, we were made to feel like family. Miss Shirley even came out and checked on us her self. The namesake drink was delicious and recommended.

Everything here is delicious! I have celiac and was able to partake in egg rolls, dumplings, noodles, shrimp balls, and more. It has a delicious fresh taste. The staff was all beyond kind and welcoming during a busy holiday lunch rush. We enjoyed being served by Jasmine at the bar.

Some of the best Chinese food in New Orleans. Classic dishes with a novel spin. Popular for a reason! The dim sum is great, you can make a meal of it. Also highly recommend salt & pepper chicken wings.

Living in Asia for a decade… stepping into Miss Shirley’s gave us the BEST Asian vibe. The food was outstanding! We chose Dim Sum to celebrate our last daughter’s 21st birthday!

This place is insane! I could eat here everyday (i feel like I already do). I have not had anything I don’t like. My current favorites are the Hot and Sour Soup, the crab udon noodles, the singapore noodles, the eggs rolls, any of their dumplings. Wait times can be long at night, but with how good it is, it’s understandable. They’re open for lunch, so thats where I normally hit and have never waited to be seated. Miss Shirley and her daughter who run the place are the best! They’re always happy to order for you if you don’t know exactly know what you want, and to be honest, they always bring out my favorite dish I would’ve never ordered on my own.

What a fabulous brunch experience! The staff were lovely and took such good care of us. We tried several items on the menu, but our favorite was the tropical shrimp, the shrimp wonton, and the snow pea leaves. We also had some unfiltered Sake, which hit the spot. We ordered quite a few items to try. Mrs. Shirley was lovely and even surprised with the beignets at the end. This place is popular, so get here early.

Amazing Hong Kong flavors and dishes. The dim sum is the best in the city (unlike that other place you can actually get your soup dumplings off the paper without them ripping.) The beef dumplings are so good; an extra savory take on the pan fried dumpling, yum. The snow pea shrimp dumplings are a bright vegetal slant on the classic shrimp dumpling. Crab shumai are huge and so full of crab. Perfect juicy and meaty shrimp balls. Good, honest, well made hot and sour soup, lots of distinct flavors, rich texture, umami and tangy, perfect for a chilly rainy day.

We stopped at Miss Shirley’s for my daughters birthday and she said the food was “life changing”! It truly was delicious and the customer service from the beginning was superb. Miss Shirley herself was running around making sure everyone was taken care of, my daughter even asked for a pic with her! Whenever we go back to Nola we will definitely be going back to Shirley’s! 10/10 for sure!

I wanted to love this place but the food was just blah, and that’s coming from someone who grew up in New York City with great Americanized Chinese food. Our group of four had four entrees and a bunch of appetizers and honestly there wasn’t anything stand out bad (wonton soup was probably the worst of what we had, broth was strangely sweet) but also nothing stand out good either. Best we had was probably the shrimp dumplings.
