Nice owner, really nice inside, good location, parking available. Full bar, and a nice variety on the menu. We tried the catfish and the gumbo and it was pretty good. We ate it so fast I forgot to take photos. Next time. Here is a picture of the gumbo.

Black owned restaurant with delicious, SEASONED eats in Denver with an intimate ambiance. The food portions are Texas sized, prepared fresh to order & reasonably priced. Got the chance to meet the master chef/owner and his wife and they were super congenial and welcoming. Missed the “Boom Boom Room” the night before, but I was told it’s live music with all the vibes. There are 2 bars and a piano for extra upscale-y vibes & restroom facility was very clean! Definitely recommend adding this to the list of places to visit in Denver.

Waited an hour for our food. Missed plans we had elsewhere, so we switched the food to go. Got home and they gave us the wrong stuff. The food is ok, but definitely lessened by the quality of service and extremely long wait time.

Loved the atmosphere here. Bliss was our server and she was so sweet, accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu. The smoked wings, coleslaw and potato salad were REALLY good. It’s probably the best meal we’ve had since visiting.

Service sucks and food takes forever then doesn’t seem like it comes out fresh. The prices are not reasonable for the portions. The fries are not crispy and seasoned thoroughly. The jumbo shrimp would have been delicious and a 4 star if it wasn’t so salty and partially soggy. The Cornbread wasn’t bad, can definitely taste the butter. The red velvet cake didn’t taste right. The chicken wings was the freshest item that came out, with a crunch when you bite into it, while hot and juicy on the inside. The coleslaw was not appetizing. They didn’t bring any sauce for the brisket or check on us. There were only two other tables and one of them wasn’t as pleased either. They messed up our order and the other tables as pure laziness with a lack of communication.

I’ll never know how good this catfish was gonna be. Altho every online thing I find says open, it is not. And the door wasn’t locked, so we mosied into darkness. It locked when we left. I am sad now

I searched for a Black restaurant where my brother and I could eat GOOD. And this is it! It was our first time and we ordered catfish, shrimp and ribs plus a few sides. The owner is kind and the service is AMAZING! We will be spreading the word and definitely coming back. Thanks for a good dinner on a Friday night.

This place is on point!!! Tucked away little place with jazz vibes and AMAZING food! My husband and I couldn’t decide so we ordered 3 meals to sample- the catfish with shrimp and crawfish, the spareribs and the hot links; we left stuffed to the gills with enough left overs for at least 3 more meals! Food is cooked to order so it’s a bit of a wait but well worth the wait!! The owner/chef came out and made his rounds to check on everyone and chatted with us for a bit! Our waitress was super nice and friendly as well! We were told we had to try the gumbo and red beans and rice so we are already planning to come back for lunch on this trip out here! Great find, I would give it 10 stars if I could!!
