Excellent authentic northern Chinese food. Steamed Juicy buns is a must try. Wonton broth is also authentic (time consuming), made w dried flat fish. Garlic w Chinese veges. Salt and pepper shrimps in a fusion style. Beef noodles soup is good too. Surprising to find good traditional Chinese food in upstate New York. If you’re ordering from this place, avoid the American Chinese dishes on the menu. Try the REAL Chinese dishes. Enjoy!

Always excellent food, big portions as well,so I have to amend my review. Since they reopened from renovations, the food amount is less, and the give less meat, more veggies. I guess someone has to pay for their renovations. So disappointing. So we tried again with the take out but it was worse than the last time, the chicken was very hard and chewy. The portion were very small. The spring rolls were small as well. Sorry we will not be using the place anymore.

As I was walking on Garth Road, I noticed a sign in the doorway of what used to be a long closed restaurant. It was a building permit for the expansion of Mr. Chen Express that would be expanding into a much larger restaurant, while keeping their original location next door! This is wonderful news since Mr. Chen Express offers wonderful Chinese foods but there is really no place to sit and enjoy their delicious meals! I’m guessing that the newly expanded restaurant will be open soon and it will be a great addition to many patrons who are loyal customers!

I have no idea how this place has 4+ stars… Decided to try based on high reviews and can’t say the food was anything but passable, at best. No one really enjoyed any of the dishes we ordered. They also gave us the wrong soup and the fortune cookies are stale. We had high hopes, but will definitely not order food from here again.
