This place isn’t fancy but the service is very friendly and the food well prepared. I moved recently from the NYC area to Chicago and this is definitely the best kosher place in the Chicago area that I’ve tried thus far. The prices are much more expensive compared to comparable non-kosher restaurants, buts that’s to be expected from any kosher place that wants to maintain the highest quality.

I’ll give all five stars, because the food is great and taste like Israel. But as a Israeli, that likes Shawarma in a pita/laffa the price is high! So if i go there every now, and then, that’s fine. But if I wanted to eat there more often would be a problem because it’s very expensive for a lunch!

The food here needs improvement, basically everything on the menu is too dry, but it’s the only kosher place in the very north suburbs, so due to the location we will always come back here with kosher observant family members.

Nice place, great food. Had the Shirakawa wrap – expensive but there is a lot added to wrap besides meat. Next time I will not have everything as I didn’t realize it meant”French fries in a wrap – what happened to a healthy Mediterranean meal?). So, probably meat and cucumber salad ONLY. Ordered a side of potatoes – delicious red potatoes grilled to perfection and a great serving size! Leftovers of wrap and potatoes, so if I look at 2 meals, price is more reasonable. I will be back when warmer to be able to sit and enjoy a meal outside! Definitely worth it!

I asked for a vegetarian plate didn’t have anything. I asked for a chicken plate. They said you have to eat outside like a dog… if the special day requires to eat meat outside, then I recommend you have a better vegetarian platter.. then she yelled at me that I have to pay for drinks I didn’t even open or touch behind the counter lol. Good god.

Delicious food, just a bit pricey for a single lunch to-go; the Israeli Salad is always very tasty and fresh; Love the mini cooler by the cashier which offers seasoned/ prepared fresh foods for quick pick up and reheating at home- my sweet potatoes were very good. The only downside is there is a faint hint of the cigar/tobacco/etc shop from next door (?) which is no fault of their own. I love the beautiful blown up photos on the wall of Israel. I also enjoy and appreciate the outside tables for dining during the warmer months as well.

Now this is a fantastic, delicious, warm and inviting establishment. If you want the best authentic Israeli food in the Chicago area, I highly recommended this place, both for their take out and in-house dining. They go out of their way to please, take care of and delight the palate of every customer. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Insanely over priced; $30 for two pitas and no sides (since fries are shoved in pita?) chicken shawarma was lacking flavor, falafel flavor is good, but the texture is soggy.
