This place has gone downhill in terms of quality. Last time I came and ordered the Takoyaki which has always been very good in the past but this time the octopus inside was still frozen and the breading wasn’t warm. I went back and not only did I get the wrong kind of ramen which was fine as all of them have typically been good before but the broth wasn’t even hot. It was almost room temperature. The noodles tasted stale and undercooked. It’s like this restaurant has started to focus more on the anime bar aesthetic than the quality ramen it was initially popular for. All the reasons above and the major price increases disappoint me as this was my favorite restaurant in the area. Hopefully next time I come they won’t miss the mark.

I can’t NOT leave a review. I walked in and was already, immediately satisfied as I was greeted by several familiar manga illustrations. Turn to the right and enter and lo and behold, this restaurant sells anime figures!!! Of course I was happy with that. Sit and order my food off the cute menu with both romaji and 日本語 (English descriptions) – at first I was a little concerned, because they have a different way of doing ramen than I’m used to, but it was a pleasant surprise to find out that it was cooked well and delicious. The atmosphere is excellent for fans of Japan like myself, because of all the Japanese banners and printouts of manga pages and covers lining the walls, and figures on display. The ambience of familiar anime themes and J-pop hits is always welcome, and the staff were so polite and friendly. I’ll definitely coming back here. ❤
