It’s low-key, but comfortable. The waitress was friendly and quickly took our order. It’s not your normal steakhouse so don’t expect it to be. Whatever your initial perception is of the place, MJs Steakhouse has the most delicious steak I have had the pleasure of eating! My ribeye was juicy and tender and of good size. My baked potato was quite large and well done. The vegetables were fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. Not sure where they get their steaks, but the flavor is truly top notch! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was mediocre at best, but the ambiance absolutely ruined the experience. We had one night in Branson and saw some pretty fantastic reviews. The steak had great flavor, but was super overcooked. The sweet potato casserole was 95% nutmeg, 5% sweet potato. Pretty sure the apple sauce was from a can. The best things about this meal was the soda. Staff was extremely unprofessional and seating arrangements awkward to say the least. The sign outside and curb appeal was extremely deceiving…you expect to walk into a steakhouse and get seated at a diner. It was freezing and I wore my jacket throughout the entire experience. It took over 20 minutes to get our check and my food was cold by the time I got the dressing I asked for both when placing my order and when my meal was served. I was truly hoping that the food would make up for the awful environment, but I just ended up leaving frustrated.

Service was decent, food was not! My husband and I went in for our anniversary dinner, thinking that a “steakhouse” would know how to cook a steak.. Twice, we both had to send our steaks back because they were both way under cooked. The 3rd time our waitress brought our steaks back, we went ahead and accepted them because we had already finished the rest of our plates and we’re ready to leave.. I manage a restaurant and there is absolutely no way we would have let a steak, or anything else for that matter, be sent out 3 times, incorrectly. And you’d figure a steakhouse would get it right the first time, definitely the second…

I’ll be honest, I had my doubts until I tasted the food. It was so good! The waitress was nice and friendly and the overall look is like a diner, but the steak was out-of-this-world great! Had a rib eye, baked potato, and veggies. The veggies could have been a little better, but the juicy steak and loaded baked potato made up for it and then some.

So, tonight my boyfriend and I stopped in for supper before attending the Legends show. When the server came to bring our food she dropped an entire plate of stake on the table which spilled my boyfriends Coke all over his tan short and my white skirt! She was very apologetic and we understand that accidents happen. We were moved to a different table so we didn’t have to remain sitting in the table covered in coke and mashed potatoes. They did have a new steak out relatively quickly but by than I had already finished my meal. I’m thankful we had a coupon for a free cobbler, because when the peach cobbler came out the dough was raw and tasted like wet flour! After informing the server of this she did offer us the blackberry cobbler but it was the same way! So, after this rough experience that made us late for our show since we needed to run back to our condo to get changed out of our coke covered clothing, our bill was not discounted at all! I am not saying I expected my entire bill to be covered but I shouldn’t have had to pay for a meal that was first in my boyfriends lap. At the very least a discount should’ve been offered. $54 is way to much to have paid for this awful experience, especially when two outfits were ruined because of this! A lady whom I believe was a manager came out and brought us the new meal and offered my boyfriend a cup with a lid to prevent further spills but that was all she did, no further apology, nothing.

I am very particular about my steak. It’s gotta be thick, it has to be a perfect medium well, and it has to be seasoned right. If it isn’t, I’d rather go make my own than eat it! Looks like I can save myself the trouble now because this place does it right! My steak was so tender it melted in my mouth. I got the porterhouse and my wife got the ribeye and she was happy too. The place doesn’t look like much, but the food is good and the people running it are great. We will come back next time we are in town.

it took probably 30 minutes to get an appetizer, and then another 30-45 minutes to get out entrees. There were 4 of us, and 2 entrees weren’t cooked all the way. The steak was hardly edible. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the poor quality of food and service.

Terrible! My husband and I went in thinking we were going to have a nice steak dinner for our 1yr anniversary, man was I wrong! I should have known when we walked in and there were only 2 other people there. I had to send my steak back because it was eay under cooked when I got it back it was so salty I could hardly eat it! Unfortunately it made me sick and spent most of our evening and the next morning in the bathroom! Would not recommend this place!

Hamburher was good. FRIED hamburger, not so much. SERVICE had a lot to be desired and they weren’t busy. We didn’t get some if the food ordered but was on the bill. Restaurant appearance looked clean. PROBABLY wouldn’t go back.

Very disappointed with our food. I have had better hamburgers at McDonalds. The best thing about my husbands steak was the mushrooms and onions. The food was not hot and we waited a long time and it was not crowded. Will not go back.
