Normally, we don’t eat at hotel restaurants but circumstances changed that for this occasion. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio for breakfast. Skip the boring buffet of omelets and potatoes and get something off the a la carte menu. We were glad we did. The loco moco and the lomi salmon bagel were more than enough food for two. We probably could’ve split just one and been fine. When other tables saw our order, they ordered the same.

Our service was excellent at moa moa especially that of the assistant server, everyone we encountered was pleasant and professional. Our fish of the day was very dry. I think it would’ve been delicious though if it hadn’t been over cooked. My partner enjoyed his drinks and said that they were unique and fun.

Macadamia nut crusted Mahi was tasteless. When we complained nothing was done. Either the server didn’t tell the manager or no one cares. The server only had 2 tables, but never came to check on anything. They had no non-alcoholic beer, the lava flow drink was mediocre, I wanted a blue hawaii but they didn’t have that. The view was almost non- existent over the pool. There was almost no one in the restaurant, but they said they had no reservations inside (which was empty) will not return. Shame on Sheraton.

My wife and I are staying at the Sheraton Coconut Beach and decided to try their in-house restaurant Moa Moa. We were a little hesitant, because neither of us particularly enjoy cooked fish. We do enjoy sushi quite a lot, but this was listed as a seafood restaurant, and we were afraid that there would not be anything we would particularly enjoy. Also, when we attempted to call down, we couldn’t get a hold of anyone to make a reservation so we were afraid that they would turn it away at the door as well.

The fresh catch of the day was so delicious we came back a second night during our vacation. The service was impeccable from the hostess who took our family pictures to Art our waiter who was like family by the time we left. We had macadamia encrusted ahi over a bed of Kimchi and pork fried rice and bok choy. Drinks were delicious and the ambience was pleasant we ate outdoors with a view of the pool and the beach beyond. Fire pits and tiki torches lit the outdoor space Just lovely. The previous night I had macadamia nut encrusted mahi mahi. Also delicious
