Way overpriced. I ordered a medium oxtail plate for $20 and only got two oxtail. TWO! The oxtail was tough and salty. Too much browning. The macaroni and cheese was dry and had no cheese. I added cheese and seasoning to it when I got home. The beef Pattie’s were cold and not fresh. And lastly, the server did not use separate serving spoons to fix my plate. She used the same spoon for each entree. I have Southern and Caribbean roots so I know how these foods are supposed to taste. I’ll give a star for each oxtail I received! Overall, today was my first and last time visiting this restaurant.

The lady at the counter who served me was very warm, welcoming and friendly. She recommended the rasta pasta so I ordered that with curry chicken and an order of oxtail with Mac n cheese and all of it was amazing. The oxtail was plentiful and perfectly cooked. Their Mac n cheese was exactly the way its supposed to be, cheesy, baked and well seasoned. Overall 5 stars for food and service. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll be back.

I ordered a larger oxtail and a curry shrimp. My husband enjoyed his curry shrimp. The oxtail on the hand was very very TOUGH. I had to put it in the oven for another 1hr 1/2 to get it tender. I was very upset about this being that if you order food it’s because you don’t want to cook. I will say if it was cook well it would’ve been a decent meal.

We were very disappointed the oxtail was over priced and it was tough. The cashier said I hope you don’t mind your food being cold it was served to us cold. I went as far as explaining we’ve purchased food here before, and it was tough, and she could not so at that point I should’ve walked out the door. That was my fault. This place is overrated not recommend it. Negril in Silver Spring is probably the best around. And there is a Caribbean restaurant in Frederick.

Customer Service is superb, Stacy is amazing and made it very easy to choose what I wanted. She was very friendly and you could tell she put her love into the food. For those who like cheesy & Spicy; Rasta pasta is the wave. The Curry Shrimp was fantastic with its sautéed vegetables , Coco Bread was so soft and Jerk Chicken was absolutely amazing with the Extra Jerk Sauce all over! white rice was made perfect. And the juices they sell taste amazing. The guava mango was a bit sweet but still delicious and their carrot juice tasted like a unsweetened tea ( in my opinion it was very delicious and refreshing ) I give these guys a 5 star AND Proclaim them

I loved the food and options that I was able to get as a vegan. Carrot juice on a Sunday is a tradition in the islands, which I had but feel free to ask anytime. Oliver, The owner is extremely friendly and receptive!

First thing, I was born/am from Puerto Rico. Second, I lived in New Jersey majority of my life. In Jersey, there is an abundance of different types of food you can eat from different countries and I have tried a good bit of it. When this place first opened a few weeks ago, I have been craving stewed chicken for a long time, nobody makes it better than my mom but since she lives in New Jersey, it’s not something I have on the regular. Best food in Hagerstown!! First time here and i was just surprised by the quality, the meat falls right off the bones, the portions are great and the staff are really nice. I highly recommend dining in!!
