Wow! Our first time visiting and yum! We had a shrimp egg roll appetizer which is a whole shrimp stuffed with goodies, then Michael Lynn Walker had fish and chips and I had their sandwich special Hawaiian chicken wrap with pineapple, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes and sweet ginger sauce that was amazing. Definitely will be back!!

This restaurant has the best crab cakes! The seafood pizza is pretty great too. I cant say we have ever had a bad meal here. They have (as so many other businesses) had staff shortages but you can tell they are trying. Just be patient. The attached brewery is a fun place to have a beer, snack or meal. Outdoor seating is a plus unless a nasty smoker shows up. They have live music and if it is in the main dining room I recommend you sit elsewhere because it is so loud you can’t talk….nice to have but I like to converse with my dinner companions!

My daughter and I had a late lunch here last Saturday. She ordered the Fried Green BLT. It was great! I had the crab dip and Candied Bacon Deviled Eggs. The eggs were really good, and the dip was average. There was plenty of crab in the dip, and the taste was fine, but for me, it was missing something. The service was very good and there was a band setting up, but we didn’t stay to hear them. I will definitely try Mobjack Tavern again. There are lots of interesting things on the menu I want to try!

I could write a book on why I will never return to this restaurant but I don’t have the time. This was my second visit. The first one was to experience the oysters, as they advertise as an oyster bar, yet they had none. This time the food was awful. From soggy fries, soggy lettuce, to watered down cheese sauce for the broccoli and cheese and cold empanadas. You have high expectations when the prices are so high. Extremely dissatisfied. The server had 0 personality and the overall appearance of the place was worn out. Things were broken or rigged in an unappealing way. The manager was hovering over us at the same time. I hope this helps make improvements or sway others from having a terrible experience and spending almost $100 for it.

I wish I had taken pictures. We ordered Fish and Chips, Steamed Shrimp and a side of Fries. The fries were limp, soggy and dark brown with a few black specs (when did they change the fryer oil). When these were used in the fish and chips, they came with raw garlic, an unhealthy, impalpable amount of salt and a pool of oil which make them worse. Normally, steamed shrimp have a pinkish orange color, a gentle toughness or ‘bite’, and a delicately sweat, slightly briny flavor. These had none of that – they were off white, rubbery and tasteless. The fried fish (I believe haddock) was very good. Our server was the best. The sound system and/or acoustics need help. 8/29/23

I’d give their service zero stars if possible! What restaurant that specializes in prime rib, refuses to let you order the baked potato loaded? Mobjack Tavern does! Don’t bother trying their delivery option either, they’ll call you after your order was supposed to arrive and claim that their system is messed up and try to change you an additional delivery fee when their site claims no fees! We thought we could bypass their consistently terrible service by ordering delivery, we were wrong! Eat elsewhere!

Crab cakes were really good. So were the oysters on the half shell. Caesar salad was so-so. They use store-bought dressing. Fish and chips wasn’t good. They give you a big piece of fried fish rather than smaller pieces. Key lime pie was so-so.

AMAZING! I’ve been looking for some great tacos and I’ve found them here! I cannot stand coleslaw and forgot to ask the waitress to take it off. Lo and behind, I’ve found a coleslaw that I enjoy! It’s perfect on the shrimp tacos! Husband got a burger and he said “even the bun tastes delicious”. Definitely coming back!
