The food was mostly amazing, and what wasn’t amazing was still enjoyable. It was beautifully plated and tasted as good as it looked. We got 2 appetizers, the Thai Chili Cauliflower (very generous portion) and the Pot stickers (4 dumplings) and enjoyed both very much. Our entrées were delivered hot to the table. We got 2 orders of the Mediterranean Ravioli, one with the salmon (delicious and perfectly cooked) and one with the chicken (ok but unremarkable). The Ravioli was tasty and the combination of the artichoke, olives, and tomatoes really highlighted the individual flavors. The chicken marsala was served with plenty of sauce and pasta and was again cooked perfectly. The final dish was the chicken sandwich. It was as anyone would expect a fried chicken sandwich to be. Good but nothing especially notable. The side of onion rings was very good. We will definitely be back.

The food was absolutely delicious. The seating was a little uncomfortable as the stools had no back on them. The waiter was really nice and made our visit delightful. Will definitely be back. We had the candy bacon (2 pieces per order) and ribeye with loaded baked potatoes and asparagus. The steak was incredible and melted in your mouth. One of the most tender, delicious steaks I’ve ever eaten.

Would not recommend. We made a reservation for 2, 5 hours before we wanted the reservation. So noon for 5 pm arrival. Under “special requirements”, we requested to not be seated in the middle of the room, but would prefer a table on the side, if possible, by a window or a more quiet location. When we arrived, there was absolutely no one in the restaurant seated at any of the dining room tables, only patrons at the bar. The hostess sat us virtually right next to the hostess stand in front of the door. I asked if we could have one of the other tables over on the side, she consulted with another employee and came back and said “no I’m sorry, you’d be surprised how quickly this place will fill up in an hour”. She then turned and walked away and never tried to see if we would be ok with this. Can’t comment on the food because we left after this rude behavior. Very poor customer service! We will not be back. If you have a completely empty dining room, at least try and satisfy those that are there first! They obviously don’t care…..service was inexcusable!

Did a wine/whiskey tasting dinner last night and was more than pleasantly surprised. Wonderful variety of flavors and textures combined in unexpectedly pleasing combinations. Pairings had choices: wine or whiskey that were selected to fit the course. Being a Sunday evening, we were not rushed and allowed time to enjoy the chef’s preparations. Well done, we’ll look forward to their next offering.

Worth a visit. Service is excellent. I honestly feel like they are trying to be somthing they are not quite. Wine list is great…yet the wines available by the glass are the usual. Beer selection is great. The food…is good. It’s all relative right? Menu is good for adults and non-picky eaters. My meal was very tasty, not a large portion, but also not crazy impressive – most ingredients were frozen/prepared ingredients put together nicely. Compared to what else is in the area…yes, this might be better than bar food (yet, there’s damn good bar food out there!). Definitely try the Modern Barn out in your travels. Correct me if I’m wrong! Ask for McKenzie to serve you! She rocks! Heather at the bar will provide awesome service as well!

My partner and I just ate there the other night. Great atmosphere and an incredible wine selection, both red and white- a better selection than you will find in any other restaurant within a 30 minute drive, at the least.

When a restaurant is asking for reservations when they are not full my wife and I were puzzled. The whole time we ate they were not full. But we were kindly persuaded to eat in the bar area. My post will have picks to show you I did not order soup like my wife said I did. I had hadlock linguini. Never ever again. My wife had the chicken sandwich with bacon. It was spot on. The fries….no. The service I will say was not bad and I’ll leave it at that. If you’re a local and love this place good on ya! But this was my first visit and this is what I got. Pictures don’t lie…..
