Our Chef Darunee (ดรุณี), learned to prepare authentic Thai food from her mom, who for 20 years, owned and managed a Modern Thai restaurant in San Francisco, a city known for its excellence in food and food service.

After her mom’s retirement, Darunee decided to continue the Modern Thai tradition and bring the original Thai recipes and experience to the city of Tyrone and the Atlanta area.

Here at Modern Thai, we pride ourselves on using only the freshest and finest ingredients in our recipes. We have excellent customer service, with a team of friendly staff.

Wow what a place. Really authentic Thai place in the location that you wouldn’t think off. This place has a nice parking up front. Restaurant is clean and inviting. The chef/owner is awesome and friendly. Our food was really good. We had red curry, curry puff, Thai boat noodle and pad see eew. Highly recommend this place. The decor is nice. They have a limited selection for beer and wines but you go there for food for sure.

Blue rice is definitely different… Very clean location and decor was nice… I like how the rice color matches the restaurant them, waiter was cool and got served quickly….. I will give it a 5 once I come in again… I thought it wasn’t a little pricey compared to other Thai spots I’ve been to. Overall it’s a good go to.

Delicious food and great service. I had the duck curry and it was delicious. It took them awhile to cook it, but while we were waiting our server gave us free appetizer which is really nice of her. My wife had the chicken pad thai and she likes it as well. Worth checking this place out if you live in this area or if you happen to pass by this place.

This place is AMAZING! I am so excited to have found this hidden gem. The service was fantastic. The atmosphere is beautiful. The food is so freaking good! This may be one of the best Thai places that I have eaten at…and I eat a LOT of Thai food. Plus it’s less than 15mins from home. I will be a regular here from now on. Come give this place a try!
